It's ok, Don; I know not everyone's gonna be into it... and if it makes you feel any better, she ends up liking it xD at least within the limits of realism as I feel it. I have another series coming out after this that is less violent and is actually, rather romantic in some parts... although the BDSM will probably be part of most of what I do. I'm posting an unrelated fantasy today, and part 4 should be done by the end of the week.

Thanks to anyone who's reading my stuff... I seem to get nothing but nice, complimentary comments, and still get negative ratings. ::shrugs:: what ya gonna do?

It seems that most readers have to really have strong feelings about a story to leave comments, but to rate a story is sometimes too easy. My suggestion: write for yourself and enjoy.

So writing about sex with children = IQ of a brick? I don't see how there's any correlation.

Writing about sex with children = no balls? Actually, I think a guy with no balls would probably be less likely to write about sex, with children or otherwise. Or maybe he means that females are more likely to write about sex with children.

Oh, I've had my fair share of trolls. Just not this particular one. Maybe it's because in all my stories on this site, the characters are 13+, and he's mostly concerned with preteens.

Most trolls, including this one, are just way too easy to crush. For my favorite, though, read the comments to Chapter 6 of my story Island For Three. He caught me off guard by not only being eloquent and grammatically correct, but by disguising his animosity in something resembling a compliment. Most trolls aren't worth my while, but this one put in enough effort to be somewhat challenging. I still managed to take him down a couple of notches though.

I believe we writers have to make an adjustment to the joke about opinions. Let's change it to: Trolls are like assholes; everyone has one!

I read it too. One thing I think, is that it doesn't have to be overtly sexual for a story to be erotic. You can be incredibly sensual and still be erotic. A simple, "I felt my daughters small breasts press against me as she gave me a hug. Innocent enough of a hug, but the smell of her coupled with the realization that she wasn't a little girl anymore...." bam, that right there, enough to get most guys horny. At least, the ones who like the little girls. I'd get horny from that. Hell, I just got horny from that!

And there is nothing overtly sexual about it, it's a sensual moment, yet, still erotica.

Funnily enough, I did take a couple of creative writing classes in college, and I did really well.

Actually, I think the sex scene in that chapter is probably one of my weakest ones. If he read nothing but that chapter, I suppose I could kind of understand his opinion. If he had said he just didn't like that scene, I wouldn't call him a troll, but he judged my writing ability on that one chapter.

Absolutely. There's something surprisingly erotic about that kind of intimate moment. I think it's because there's nothing more feminine than a girl showing affection, and since I'm a heterosexual man, I'm just naturally attracted to femininity.

To really appreciate that kind of scene, though, the reader has to slow down and not be in too much of a hurry to get to the action. Those kinds of scenes are what I call the foreplay. The sex is great, but it's so much more erotic if there's plenty of foreplay to build up the erotic atmosphere. The best stories tease the reader, taking things slow but keeping the air charged with eroticism until it's almost frustrating, then delivering on the implied promise.

Now, I have no problem with new writers (once upon a time, I was one too) or competition, but I'm puzzled by the plethora of extremely high ratings. Not all that many months ago you couldn't beg, borrow, or steal a long-sustained 90 or mid-90 rating. Often, the top rated stories included all high 80s.

Oh well, perhaps I'm just an old 'fuddy-duddy' writer and some new blood is what readers want!

I don't think the issue you point out is new. For whatever reason, the score on a story on this site tends to go down over time. So the top stories of all time list tends to look an awful lot like the top stories of the past 30 days list. New stories seem to have such an advantage over old ones on this site that it's almost pointless to maintain an all-time highest rated list.

For example, most of my stories were scoring in the high 80's and 90's in the first couple of weeks after being posted, and now they've all dropped to the 60's and 70's. Even the ones that spent a full 30 days toward the top of the Top Rated list have dropped to the low 80's. I hit #3 on the highest rated authors list at one point, but now I'm down toward the bottom of the first page. I have no idea why that's so. I would chalk it up to my enemies artificially lowering my score, except that my observation above about the top rated lists seems to show a parallel with other authors.

My recommendation is that they fix the Top Rated All-Time List to exclude any stories posted in the last 30 days. That way, the stories on that list will better reflect which ones are really the most popular.

As far as fixing the issue with the lowering scores, since I don't know the cause of the problem, I can't offer a solution.

I guess with so many stories the easiest think for a new visitor to do is go to the new release page. If you get one positive vote you pop to the top and stay there until either some thumbs downs, or a new batch comes up and they get the 100%.
Once a story falls off the front page the read count hardly moves.

I just had a pleasant surprise. I was just checking the Sex Stories forum to see how my new chapter is doing since it posted earlier today. While I was there I decided to do something I never did before, I checked the authors list and found to my surprise that I'm number 2 on the list when it's set to the average scores. Thank you to everyone whose voted for my stories, I never knew were that well liked.

Has anyone ever had comments on a story disappear? One of my stories has a problem showing the comments. I have used the report option on the story itself and the message to the admin, but neither came back with anything. It shows that there are 74 comments, but you cannot see them.

For that many comments, I have seen some stories with perhaps 9 or 10 pages of comments listed, but when you click on the last page number, more numbers show up. I don't know if this helps or not. Hope so.

It's not that there are too many, it's that none show up. Just the word, comment. It's some kind of error. Out of those 74 comments, when I could see them, they were all positive! I was thrilled.

I didn't really need to say that, but I did need to test my signature to see if it links to my story page.

Not that this helps fix the problem, but I can back you up on your claim. It says that there are 74 comments on "My Neighbor's Incest Part IX" but they're all missing. That sucks. I hope you get it resolved.

I agree to both. Some times it's just a matter of a loose nut behind the key board, like with my signature, that I finally got working. Other times it's a matter of pointing it out to the admin. Then, some times it just not going to work!

I think it's great that you can tap into multiple sources within to create stories. I actually have one story on here that is also written strictly as a love story, without the sex. The same exact tale of a conflict with right and wrong, except the sex has been omitted. If I get time, I will look at your other work.

Thanks for the heads-up info about the other site for posting non-sexual stories. I too have some non-sexual writings I'd like to try out somewhere. I checked your stories and found out one of your novels had 1,500,000 words! Damn, my longest one is only about 25,000 words!

Although I write "perverted" erotica for XNXX, I wouldn't want to use my XNXX name in posting on another site. I am basically a very good man with decency in my real life (sexual fantasies and writing do not make you a real life pervert) but I wouldn't want my family and friends to know about my secret fasntasy-sex pastime!

actually I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I miscalculated the word count, it should be 150,000 words. Somehow I multiplied the actual count by 10. The estimate is based on the idea that the average word count per page is 250 (for a double spaced manuscript page) and the novel is about 600 pages.

I was amazed before, but now I'm still impressed! That's a lot of words. I hope you don't balance your check book with that same math

I saw my story get released today! One second it was validating, the next it was validated. Before I could go to it, it was already voted down. Hum, must have been that speed reader. I'm alright with people voting negative because the kind comments make up for the troll and make it feel better to add my stories. But, I have to wonder what the motivation might be?

Oh, I come back so quickly with a theory. When I just went back, I see all the new stories are now gone and the ones there that have been there, remain! My paranoid mind tells me the writers of the remaining stories kick your story to the bottom with the first negative vote. My crazy side has escaped.

especially Don for starting this and keeping it moving & Daddycums for the regular summary lists], and (2) that if people liked one story they would probably go to your others as well, and I've actually been putting a comment at the end of my stories to nudge that along.

So, yes, that's been lovely - I was really proud to have a story (Detention Sucks) that was for a while no. 1 in the 'Lesbian' category, and has stayed at no. 2 or no. 3 for the last four or five weeks ... and similarly the 'Girl Guide' story, further down that first page, has been rated around 91% for that long as well.

Which brings me to my query (thanks for your patience!) ... how come neither of them have ever appeared on the 'Last 30 days' top-rated list, when for longer than that they have had higher ratings than many which appear on first part of that list????

It's not so much that I mind (being still

about the rating), it's that I just don't get it.

Somehow I multiplied the actual count by 10. The estimate is based on the idea that the average word count per page is 250 (for a double spaced manuscript page) and the novel is about 600 pages.
