It was up and fully operational for a while then went tits-up. I keep checking with same result. Fingers crossed.

FYI: It's almost 3PM in Florida and the story site is up, but I don't think it is working right. I see lots of stories that have 100% rating but 0 number or reads. That can't be right. Naturally, I looked up my story and it is 0% rated with 0 reads. I've had a number of people tell me that they have read my story so I know that's wrong too. In any case, my story is listed on page 4 of the new stories list so I don't expect that any writer that posted a story around the time I posted mine,or after, will ever get a realistic appraisal.

The read counter doesn't appear to be working. I'm afraid it will take quite some time for the site to settle down to something like normal because I think there are several authors holding back their stories until everything gets fixed. There is probably a flood being held back only by a programmer somewhere. I'm hopeful that eventually things will be ok.

Nice to know the site is getting back on it's feet, personally I like to see how many people are checking out my stories and the comments they have for me (I don't even mind the trolls that much, especially when I can give them an occasional thump). Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've been busy this week and managed to finish a new chapter, in fact I'm posting it right now so go ahead and check it out.

Having been suffering under a mountain of work these last couple of weeks, I have only tonight been able to catch up with this thread - and found such a nice surprise! Thank you both, Ashton and Don, for your kind recommendation and lovely comments - definitely made my day!

Of possibly wider interest, I am getting closer to finishing my most ambitious project yet - up to now, everything has basically been single and separate stories, but I'm currently working on a linked six-part story (the parts run in parallel on the same night, rather than consecutively). I'll try and get it finished soon - honest I will!

So ... now we have some votes appearing on the recent stories ... but from who, and how are they doing it?

My most recent two stories have acquired four votes (in each case, three positive and one negative), but when I look at the story - whether logged in or not - you can't vote!

Was it a false start ... or Murphy's Law, to make us think things were getting better, when they aren't?

Has anyone got any ideas?

There was a thread about site problems, or a post in a thread. The voting had to be disabled, though it had been active for a short while.

On Thursday, the voting was up and down several times and in fact, the server was up and down throughout the day. On Friday, voting and comments were available for most of the day. During that period, a lot of us stalwart readers took the time to vote and, in some cases, leave comments on our favorite stories. Some of the positive comments on your stories, lovely Lesley, were from me. I was only able to post a couple of comments before the site sort of shut down again, but at least I got to vote on my picks for good stories.

I am starting to feel that the site will, indeed, recover. I am trying to have patience.

I have been reading the 16 chapter story by Nikki1979 located at http://stories.xnxx.com/profile26788/nikki1979 . It is probably one of the very best stories I have read on this or any other site. She writes extremely well, awesome character development and the sex is truly well told bringing the reader into the action and seemingly feeling the hot cum that spills into her time and time again. I am so glad I found this thread as it led me to Nikki and her true story.

Since I too have been having problems logging into the stories section, I went and copied Nikki1979's stories to my hard drive. I certainly do not want to have started such an awesome story and then not be able to access it, consequently, safe is better than sorry.

Oh, so you're the one who sent that package. I was wondering why the FBI was so interested in it. The good news is that I didn't open it. Don't worry about it. They were not FBI agents; they were members of a radical fundamentalist group called “Al-kick-da.” They were sent to retrieve the packages.

The only requirement for joining is that you have at least one good foot to kick ass with and that you become a member of the First Reform Church of Kister Kickers. Reform Kister Kickers do not limit themselves to just kicking butts. Our belief is that you can kick, punch or pound any part of any big mouth assholes that is not a part of our group.

If you are interested, come to one of our meetings. We meet on Saturday nights at biker bars where we discuss religion, politics and gay rights. After the first punch is thrown, each member is encouraged to worship in his or her own special way.

We are always looking for new members due to the many injuries and deaths in our congregation. Just PM me and I'll send you an application.

Don, I’d like to thank you for suggesting a truly honorable title for my royal personage. The rank of Exalted Bigmouthassholiness is very befitting, but I already have a title. I am the High Priest and Purveyor of the Nasty Purple Nurple, a title I earned during one of our Saturday night Worship sessions. On that occasion I twisted a nasty biker’s nipple so hard that his tattoo screamed. That incident is currently being reviewed by various world religions for inclusion on their list of certified miracles.

Perhaps you can suggest the title of “Exalted Bigmouthassholiness” for DaddyCums who’s status as a genuine xnxx saint may better match his current rank and status.

I would also like to thank you for comparing my sense of humor to that of JackassTales. My Psychiatrist and Parole Officer will be very happy to hear that. They say that if I keep taking my medications and stay off the internet I may someday improve my condition to psychotic homicidal maniac. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed.

I see that the read counts seem to be working along with the ratings. Does this mean that the board is back to full functionality and I can start submitting my Summertime at Grampa Dicks chapters? Or Ellen's tech boytoy story- which I have the 2nd chapter started, with some very interesting story track planned. And maybe with some input from a certain lady for the female POV.

If everything is back to at least the way it was, I say "THANK YOU!!!" to Lemarkxxx, nophest, chunky and any others who keep this story site running. I'm really glad it's not going to disintegrate, bit by bit, into the proverbial bit bucket.
