If that's true, that makes the trolling comment on my story particularly ironic. Current numbers for the story where the comment appears: 29757 reads, 405 Positive votes, 45 negative votes. He claimed the high number of votes was evidence of cheating, but in reality the vote-to-read ratio is an order of magnitude less than the average.

Hey, don't start using all that technical jargon on me mister!! I have enough trouble keeping up with English d'oh!!

But some people are going to get bashed for their stories, no matter what - best to just ignore the flamers and concentrate on the constructive criticism!!

To mis-quote a quote; "You can please some of the people some of the time"... The rest can please themselves.

I maintain that I write for my pleasure first and foremost. If others enjoy my efforts, then great, if they don't, tough, I enjoyed writing it.

Obviously, I want to write something pleasing to a reader, hopefully even evince a reaction, but it is becoming less important to me and I know that those who are serious about the merits of a story will, if they are touched by it, will leave a comment of appreciation. But, my enjoyment comes first and is the reason I have twice as many unfinished stories sitting on the hard drive than I have published on here. They didn't do it for me and got shelved.

Well I am new to this so I haven't written anything fictional yet, just getting the true stories I'm most proud of out of the way, and I do have a lot more true stories to write about. But I'm interested in feedback, haven't gotten much. Thanks for any criticism

Still seeing a lot of concern over low (artificially low) scores. One of the major reasons for this thread is to try to encourage writers to keep writing. I know there is someone posting a lot of unsatisfactory scores driving the rating down, but I hope that if the author of that story sees a strong recommendation on this or any other thread, he/she will continue writing, whether to entertain him/herself or to entertain the rest of us.

You will have to overlook, if you can lots of spelling, grammar, and tense errors. The many errors are very distracting, but the sex is really hot. Sort of amazing that the ratings on these stories are so high - must be the sex. Good stories get low ratings, good sex gets high ratings. Interesting.

For those who show consideration and a caring attitude, I would like to tell you, why I don't write as often. I have severe Fibromyalgia, along with a once broken back, a result of a damn drunk driver, and severe Arthritis. I try and do not let it ruin my life, get me too depressed nor interfere with my writing.

However, things about my health interrupt my every now and then. I just deal with it, and take it in stride, because NOTHING will ever make me give up my writing. HUGGIES KG.

I admit at first hoping I might see my name, but in the end I continued through collecting good writers and making mental notes. If there might be someone returning, then I'll say more. If you'll notice the dates on the latest posts, you'll see that this discussion is far from over.

Considering My Neighbor's Incest has several chapters on the Top Rated Sex Stories - Last 30 Days list and Finding a treasure at Winn-Dixie is currently #1 on the Top Rated Sex Stories list, I'm surprised no one has mentioned you yet.

Is there anyone who's read BiStander's stories and is willing to recommend him? It seems a shame for him not to be on this list, but it's not really official until someone else endorses him.

Not that anyone was holding their breath waiting, but I'm back. I know he has been mentioned already, but I'd like to say, Daddycums has some great stories. I loved The Chair. I smile every time I think of it. Also, Empathic Twins and Not a Baby Anymore. I haven't read the recent ones because I'm trying to work on the three stories that I was stupid enough to start all at once. I don't want his great material to bleed into my okay stories.
I have seen it mentioned in this thread, and also in story comments, that the sex stories seem to get the better ratings. I work extremely hard when I write a story, mostly because I am challenged in many area, writing skills being foremost. But, I have always tried to make the stories at least half sex, usually more. My reason for this, also probably the reason the sex stories get the high ratings, is when I came to a site with four letters in the name, three of them being X, I assumed that's what people were expecting. Now, I'm finding out there are people out here who actually are interested in other topics. Wow.

I want to keep the thread going as long as possible because I'm learning so much about so many wonderful writers. Yes, I said wonderful. And, in my opinion, DaddyCums is one of the very best. You have to read Shelter from the Cold. I'm also glad I'm not the only person that loves the number 47. Looking forward to reading your stories.

As for the exact number 47, I just randomly chose it. As for that general range, I figured somewhere in the 40's was perfect, because I wanted it to be just on the edge of absurd. It wouldn't have been anywhere near as funny if I had chosen, say, 9. But on the other hand, if I had put it in the hundreds, it would have come off as sounding a little immature, like I was just so excited that I threw in the biggest number I could. 47 is silly enough that it makes you laugh, but not so silly that it sounds dumb.

Actually, if you assume 1 per minute, not an unreasonable assumption from the description at the end of the story, and assuming that she had been on the chair for several hours, then 47 is actually unrealistically low. 200 would have been more accurate. I actually reined myself in quite a bit when choosing the number.

Just finished the Stuart and Little Annie series and a few more of his earlier stories and am starting his re-write. I was totally enchanted with the Stuart and Little Annie and can't wait to see what is up with the re-write. Thanks, love, for the information and suggestion, as well as for your stories.

I never denied it. I wanted to keep the tone positive, even though it would have been really easy to make it a lot darker. It is, after all, a story about a girl who gets raped by a machine, albeit with her as the one who initiates it. So I threw in a bit of humor: 47, the "permanent" smile on her face, and the last line of the story.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm looking forward to reading Stuart and Little Annie. Someone recommended it to me, and from the description it sounds just like my type of story: the kind where the buildup to the sex scenes is what's important, not the scenes themselves.

Strongly recommend you read Stuart and Little Annie first then read Canon. Canon is the re-write to a more mature young lady and with lots of love. Something like most of your stories.

Just finished reading My Neighbors Incest and Finding a Treasure at Winn-Dixie. I must agree with Daddycums that your stories show great promise and vast improvement from part I to part VI. It looks like, in part VI, that you had the proof-reading down very well, but in the Winn-Dixie story I think you were getting pretty excited about what you were writing and let your standards slip a little. The story itself was very nice and I would like to see a continuation.

We're getting dangerously close to Page 6 on this topic. Since there have been several more authors mentioned since I posted the links to them all, I'm going to post an updated list as soon as we hit the next page. I can't guarantee that I'll keep up with it in the future, but for now it doesn't cost me anything but a few minutes of my time as I browse through the last 50 posts, which I would have done anyway looking for stories for my own personal pleasure.

Thank you for taking the time to read those stories and pointing them out to others. I have written four pages of the follow up to Winn-Dixie. If I can get the grammar and punctuation correct, I think it will be good. I made myself cry.
Please to you or anyone, point out my mistakes. Don't assume it's a typeo I missed. It could very well be something I don't know. Even reading the comma classes online, I still want more commas! I like commas. I struggle for a few reason which at some point, I will point out.

George in Cincy left a comment on the Winn-Dixie story that pretty well covers any negative/constructive comments I might have. That cannot apply to your earlier stories, but the improvement is marked. I believe that if you try to get better each story you write you will. Obviously you did in the earlier stories. The story line in Winn-Dixie has the look of something I really want to continue. Of course, as you probably know by now, I love love stories.

I'll do better than that. I think I mentioned this before, but I've got a VERY long story finished that I'm in the process of uploading. I've done 30 out of 100 chapters so far. I posted the first few chapters early this week, so if this were a normal situation I would have expected them to be validated a couple of days ago. Since this isn't a normal situation, it looks like either the moderators are waiting for me to finish posting the rest, or they're just overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of 30 chapters within the span of a week (understandable). So either the first few chapters will appear in the next couple of days, or you'll see the whole thing at once in a couple of weeks. Or something in between. But please don't send any nasty messages to the moderators asking them to get on the ball. I'm sure they're doing their best.

By the way, if my calculations are correct, this will be the last post on Page 5 of the thread, so my next post will be the updated list. I'm about to go to bed now, but I'll get on it first thing in the morning.

I work extremely hard when I write a story, mostly because I am challenged in many area, writing skills being foremost. But, I have always tried to make the stories at least half sex, usually more. My reason for this, also probably the reason the sex stories get the high ratings, is when I came to a site with four letters in the name, three of them being X, I assumed that's what people were expecting. Now, I'm finding out there are people out here who actually are interested in other topics. Wow.
