After 6 days of nothing new to read, today we get 3 new stories from fbailey (pretty good), a new one from doz (not quite up to his normal standards but still hot) and 10, count 'em 10 new chapters from Daddycums from his new epic. Our cup runneth over. The only problem is that reality keeps intruding on my reading. If you haven't read these stories yet, you're missing out.

Thanks for adding me to your list DC. I generally feel like I don't fit in with this crowd, since my teen stories are pretty vanilla in this neighborhood. But I'm just writing my fantasies as I see them, and sharing them give me a vicarious thrill when they're well received.

I will say with regards to the comments, I get a bit frustrated when the really good ones are done anonymously. It'd be nice to communicate directly with some like-minded pervs.

As for the negative ones, I've gotten some doozies, and it initially got me down. But like I said, I'm just writing what I like, and try to let the really mean ones wash off. Taken that way, they can be pretty funny when some of these guys get really worked up, like they turn to an erotic website to vent their anger. What's up with that?

I'd be happy to get feedback from the rest of the writers group, and I agree there're a ton of good authors lurking about. I'll apologize up front for the numerous errata that always seem to evade my proofing eyes.

I know what you mean. I try to answer all of my PM's and emails unless they're just short "I liked it" messages. But I can't do that on the comments.

Wow I didnt realize you all pulled this off. I'm happy since the idea was first discussed on my thread about people somehow being able to post multiple negative votes on peoples stories.

I have to admit to holding my breath as I read through the whole thread hoping someone mentioned my stories. But maybe they're too specialized for popular taste.

I am proud of myself for finally posting here because when i first started to write I would get a half story written and then lose interrest without finishing. So I shocked myself writing over 20 chapters in the Downward Spiral to Becoming a Slut story. Somehow the characters kept ideas popping into my head. Of course I guess I also should acknowledge that it hasn't always been a sex story.

I am happy that I have gotten some really supportive comments. It was those that kept me posting. And I hate to admit that the negative ones can get to a person's heart too.

Anyway, just wanted to say I was glad you all got this thread started and stickied up at the top. Its not too long I think we should keep it going sharing authors we like.

When I comment on a story, there isn't the option of including my name so I rarely comment. Can anyone tell me how to add a comment to include my name? There are some that I would like to congratulate the writer and others where I would like to leave constructive criticism but obviously feel that those especially shouldn't be done anonymously.

It sounds like you hit that magical point where the characters take control of the story and write it for you. I find that once I get to that stage, I'm no longer an author but a scribe. I simply write down what the characters do, only occasionally reining them in so that they don't deviate from the main plot of the story.

I love when I reach that point because it becomes so much easier to write, and I think the stories turn out much better.

Hi to everybody!

I only discovered this thread about a week ago, and was thrilled to find my stories mentioned - especially as a newcomer, it's a great encouragement. My sincere thanks to Donb, Smc and others who have been so positive, and to everyone who has read and enjoyed the stories. If you had half as much fun reading as I did writing them, then we're all having a good time!

I had actually been reading stories on the site for nearly a year before registering and posting any of my own, so I know of some of the other writers listed here - and it's wonderful to be bracketed in such company.

There are others I don't yet know, and now I've got my summer reading list! This thread is great in that way, because you can't find everything by the 'pot luck' method, so even if it goes quiet for a while, PLEASE don't end or remove it. Extra thanks to Daddycums for drawing the list and links together - that is so useful.

Well, my other reason for posting (sorry, this is going on a bit) is that - as some folk have already spotted - I have four new stories that have just been validated. It wasn't originally planned that way: some stories came slowly and some came quickly (just like real life), and in the end it so happened that they all came together (hmm ... not so much like real life - but maybe in your house??). Anyway, I hope it's not a glut on the market!

I've posted quite a few since registering a few weeks ago, but it's not intended to be a flood. I was working on several stories whilst just being a visitor here (especially 'Lawyers and Interns', which I appreciate is not to everyone's taste - that took nearly ten months, on and off), plus - like many folk, I'm sure, I'm drawing on some decades-worth of my own personal favourite fantasy scenarios. So things might slow a little in future, but they won't stop - and I cetainly won't let negative unconstructive comments put me off.

I have another one nearly finished - it's a lesbian rape story, so it won't appeal to everyone who likes the other ones. It's a dark fantasy of mine from way back, and I'll put it in that genre (like 'Lawyers') as a warning signal. Anyway, it should be up in about a week or so.

Glad you got involved in this thread. I hate it when nonames make comments. Mostly, when they are meaningless rants, but also positive ones. I like to shoot something back, or check the profile of the commenter to see their stories. (BTW-who is pod?)
To answer your question. If you are logged in, you will not see a username box out to the right. If not logged in, then there is a small box to add a name that goes with your comments. You can enter any name. So you can trash daddycums and enter don's username.

Hello everybody

I have really enjoyed reading the stories from everyone endorsed so far. I don't think I've read a story mentioned that I didn't like. That's rare and unusual, especially when you're talking about reading erotica.

I've only got two chapters of a story up so far, and surprisingly, most of the comments I've received have either been positive, or at least reasonably given constructive criticism. I haven't had the misfortune of having an idiot basher, like I've seen on many, many stories on this site. The ones where the basher is so illiterate you need a decoder ring to figure out what they meant to say are particularly frustrating and annoying.

I hope you all keep recommending the really good writers that actually write something worth reading, so I know who to look out for. I'll try and do the same. If you haven't read anything by anyone on the list compiled so far, you've been missing the better stories on the site, I believe.

That's just my less than two cents' worth for the moment *Winks*

I for one don't begrudge you your four stories; if it's bad to post four stories at once, then the quantity of my latest postings is downright diabolical.

Besides, I just skimmed through a couple of your stories. Holy hotness, Batman! You've got some amazingly steamy tales there. Your adult woman + teen girl stories are my favorites, especially the reversal in "Detention Sucks." I only had time to skim, but as soon as I get a chance I'm definitely going to have to read through them.

If you weren't already on the list I would recommend you.

On a completely unrelated note, I noticed that the list vanished from the top of Page 6 and ended up at the end of Page 5. Somehow a post on Page 5 must have been removed. It will be very difficult to avoid reading one of your stories - even if I don't care for forced or dark. I probably will avoid it, but I will be saddened. I know that a lot of people care for that kind of story, but I would rather miss a story from on of my very favorite writers than read a story that goes against my grain. The way I vote is like this. If the story doesn't keep me after a few paragraphs, I hit back. I don't rate it at all, because someone else might like it.
If I make it to the bottom but don't really feel anything, again, I don't vote. (It's hard to get a neg from me)
If the story is a pile of rubbish, I can't follow it because of poor writing, or it's just nasty/mean right off, then I skip to the bottom and click neg.

What would be good is if I could always vote, from zero to five. A scale.

Has any talk about this been done?

When I first became aware of the stories site there was a 1-10 rating system in place for the stories. Sadly, that system made it even easier for the assholes to artificially lower ratings on stories and discourage some very good writers (old guy and tarkas3 to name two). The current system seems to make it a little more difficult to artificially lower the rating of a story but, as you can see, it still happens.

The way you vote on stories seems to be almost exactly the way I do it. I sometimes vote negative, but not often. I have seen some writers (yes, more than one) whose early stories were barely readable who continued to write and improve and who became among my favorites. I think that not voting negative just because of the style or something you don't care for maybe provided enough encouragement for them to continue and to improve.

Love this site and really love this thread. I have learned so much and found so many new "favorite" writers. Thanks to you all. don

Because I was one of those bumped, I had to let DC know that I was one of the disappointees (I know, this may not be a real word). BUT, my disappointment didn't keep me from complimenting my fellow writer on his fine skills as an author. I ended up telling him to ""flaunt it if you've got it!" And he does!

Does anyone know how the average ratings are calculated, because it doesn't seem to be done the traditional way, i.e. sum of individual ratings divided by number of stories. You know, the average. It seems to be weighted either to longevity on the site, or quantity of stories, or something, but even then, they really don't make any sense.

Also I'd just like to say that I in no way boost my own ratings. In fact, Lemark can attest to the fact that when I started posting a few months back I emailed him to change the voting to one per story per person (IP address, most likely, but I have no idea how they did it). My issue came from an author who was at the time consistently at the top with a number of stories, and any time anyone else's got near, they were oddly hit with several of negative votes all at once, except those authors who wrote favorable comments about him. It was all quite transparent, and as soon as the new voting came in, the author has somehow ceased to be at the top.

I'm not one of these guys who has to be at the top all the time. I write what I know, and I'm not trying to impress anyone. Admittedly I really like it when they're popular, but you know, it doesn't kill me it they aren't well received. Some of the stuff I've posted that I thought was really good kinda fell flat. Nor do I negative vote others unless, like Don and BiStander said, it really is poorly written or of a dismal nature. The whole point of this site it to express whatever you want, so write and let write I generally say.

Anyway, I'm rambling now, sorry. I still feel like I'm outside the writers loop, even though I really like what people are doing here, and love that it's generally very supportive.

No idea how the average is calculated. I don't pay any attention to it at all when I look for stories to read. Mostly I just look for stories written by someone I know and enjoy. That's the reason I started this thread; so I could find more writers whose stories I enjoy. It worked, too. I never would have known about you were it not for this thread. don

The rating is calculated most simply by deviding the total number of positive scores by the total number of all the scores for that particular story.

I have no idea either. I think it's basic math. If the first person votes neg, then you get zero. If the second person votes pos, you get 50%. So on.

When you are logged in to the forum, go to User CP on the menu bar at the top, then select (under settings and options) Edit Avatar. This will give you the option of adding any photo you care to. Sorry, haven't yet. Too deeply involved with the series by Daddycums. Keep the faith - I will. Bear in mind, though, I am not the final authority on sex stories. I know, JackassTales paid me a marvelous complement saying that I was very well read in sex stories (that was a complement?), I only know what I like and that changes about as often as I find a new writer and/or a new story that tickles my fancy.

Okay, I'm finally ready to answer your questions. First I went to the authors listing and found 3 ghostwriters (different spelling, etc.).
