There are tons of excuses for bad behavior but that doesn't make these people any easier to be around . I don't coddle I don't enable but I put them on ignore .

I welcome anyone who puts me on ignore. So obviously I am not seeking attention.
Hitting the ignore button is so easy to do and it's always easier to do that thanspend your time sending long complicated insults .

This is not rocket science this is common sense

I've put the major offenders on ignore .

The people that I still respond to are people who have made good arguments in the past. If they happen to disagree with me then I view it as an opportunity for me to grow.

This posting has offered many many more opportunities to further cull the field.

There are a lot of sad people and there are a lot of disabled people but most of them behave with proper comportment .

Totally unclear about why you have sanctioned and enabled bad behavior based on peoples circumstances.

Bad behavior is bad behavior whether it comes from a wheelchair or a track field .

 

I don't think you have been around many disabled people. A good % of them blame the world for what has happened to them. Relatives and people around them soon learn to limit their exposure to them. When they find such a place as this forum they can say anything they want. They can try to make others feel as bad as they do.

Would you willingly go see or just stop on the street and talk to a person who continued to insult or belittle you? Most people will try to avoid them.

I have worked in a convalescent home for extended periods . Yes there are some people who do that but most people do not.

There's always an excuse for bad behavior. Perhaps you don't remember the Twinkie defense or the woman in San Francisco who because she hit a pole on a San Francisco Cable car and that reminded her of her very stern father and that's what caused her to become a nymphomaniac .

And you're missing the point if people are bothered by what I say they can as easily walk away metaphorically by hitting the ignore button .

Actually I'm glad that I placed this post because it allowed me to ignore a few more miscreants.

I will continue to ignore the people who have nothing to contribute or can only contribute insults and you can continue to find excuses for them but you are only exacerbating the problem.

Would you write to your congressman and suggest that we should and funding for Saudi Arabia which is probably our biggest welfare state or at least on a par with israel. I do take the wholesale and casual miss treatment of women in the Muslim world quite seriously .

It's not that it doesn't happen in other parts of the world but the other parts of the world can't compare to this systematic and concentrated level of abuse .

Barack Obama made a huge deal about the systematic miss treatment of gays in Russia but as far as I know I never heard him say a word about the systematic abuse of women in the Middle East .

To be fair neither did George W. Bush and I don't think Trump is said anything about it yet either . And yes I know what he said about pussy grabbing so I don't expect such a statement anytime soon .

So the hypocrisy is equally distributed .

All I know is that people are suffering and if we are not going to deal with it directly we could at least remove funding from the countries that are doing it the most stridently

Yes I misspoke. I said Saudi Arabia what I meant Pakistan. Although having done further research I should have included Egypt as it is it even a larger recipient of American aid.

But Saudi Arabia does receive a little bit of American aid and should also be dealt with as it is the largest recipient of US foreign military sales .

And yes the Nazis were also hiding money in the United States just as they did in Switzerland and that is another shameful thing that the US did not deal with at that time .
