“The Committee on Ethics shall investigate any unauthorized disclosure of intelligence or intelligence-related information,” reads the rule—a command, rather than a suggestion.

Schiff said Thursday morning Nunes's decision was in the "best interests of the investigation. I think it will allow us to have a fresh start for moving forward." The top Democrat on the committee said he looks forward to working with Rep. Conaway.

Democratic members of the committee commended Nunes’ decision and hoped that it would restore independence to the panel’s Russia investigation. “It was the right call for Chairman Nunes to step aside from the Intelligence Committee's investigation into Russia's election interference,” Rep. Eric Swalwell said in a statement. “We now have a chance to reclaim our committee's independence, credibility, and ability to make progress.”

For the committee to launch an investigation at least one Republican had to vote for launching the investigation because the ethics committee is made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans.

Doesn't have too. The documents are in a secured room in the White House. President Dipshit to inept to look at the documents himself.

 

Nunes didn't deliver anything to Trump. The only reason he went to the capital grounds is that was the only place he could view the records.
They do not let you check them out like a library book so he couldn't show anything. I am sure he did tell Trump about what was on the reports.
Take a look at what Trump said. "Nobody shared it with me, that I can tell you because I haven't looked."
That would be true because he didn't see the reports. He was probably told what was on them though.
Notice how Trump has learned how to answer a question like a politician.

However, this would not preclude Nunes from using a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in another location to prevent his conversations or classified information from being breached by those without access

 

Since Nunes didn’t actually share that intelligence, since he later amended his description of what he’d seen and since the manner in which he alerted the public to what he’d discovered can at best be described as unorthodox, the story quickly became about Nunes instead of what he alleges he learned. As reporters dug into the story, we learned that Nunes actually reviewed those documents within the White House complex (though not at the White House itself).

Finally found it. Notice it says within the White House complex though not at the White House itself.

Nunes is moving onto the illegal leaks, illegal unmasking of U.S. citizens names and the surveilance of Trump Tower, that's where the teeth are needed.
