    You can now get verified on forum.

    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

    Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

    You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

    Calling All Writers (CAW) 25 - Reading & Voting Phases

    CAW 25 produced 9 entries. Based on this, I'm combining the Reading & Voting Phase into one post. I tried to assist with formatting. If there are serious mistakes, contact a Moderator and see if they are willing to assist you. I think I left spacing where spacing was intended, and closed up unnecessary gaps brought on by word processing control codes. Hopefully, we're good.

    Voting:

    Voting will take place simultaneously. What this means is that when you've read all the stories and if you are ready to vote, you may do so. Officially, voting will run from Sunday, September 20th to noon (eastern US time) on Saturday, September 26th. But, I don't want to make people wait if they wish to get their vote in early.

    You may choose three stories to receive your votes. I would like them listed like this, in a PM to CAW SOP:

    Please substitute real story names for "This story", etc. :)

    First place votes will count 3 points, second place 2 points, and third place 1 point.

    You do not have to pick three stories, but I encourage you to do so. You may not vote for one story more than once.

      It is Kindergarten Cop, but if I remember correctly, it's the scene where he enters the classroom and sees the kids going wild. He yells "Shut up!" really loud and repeatedly. That's him yelling.

    Well. Since I don't have a horse in this race. ( no intended offense to our esteemed host ) I guess I better take extra time and do a good job making my comments. I might even try to do my reviewing sober. As opposed to the condition I am finding myself in right now.

    Great job to any and all who entered. I don't care if your story isn't fit to line a birdcage, You put yourself out there, and did something that many can't. for that you should feel proud! Good luck in the voting!

    1) (best IMHO)
    2) (second best)
    3) (third best)

    Replacing (best/second/third) with the actual story title.

    Paperbacks I'm about 120 pages/hour. Hardcovers a bit slower.

    Short stories like these I can read through 8-10 an hour.

    Finished reading all the stories earlier tonight , bloody hell ! This is one tough CAW. All the stories are different and are winners for their differences. Howmto pick a winner is going to be hellish .

    I thought im had a clear winner , but having read them all now my head is in a spin, there were some that inspired true emotion , and transported me in to the middle of the story.

    Thank you writers , for your time and the great efforts , and last but not least , for the spectacular stories . It has already been said , but you all could be published authors the standard was that high .

    Though I do have to say , I hate you all, authors that is, at the very least you could have written 1 or 2 mediocre pieces and made our voting a bit easier ! ;) ;)

    A big congratulations to all who entered, you have done yourselves and the site proud , I just wanted to thank you all formyour hard work , time and effort , it is very much appreciated. Good luck !! X

    Damn I'm starting to feel like I don't fit in, I haven't read a single story yet. Wasn't it the weekend? Weren't we supposed to be out partying or home making mad passionate love? Hell I was reading C.S. Lewis when I was three and I can't even squeeze a story into my bathroom break.

    Okay, maybe this is crazy, but I challenge all of you. I'm throwing down the glove, drawing a line in the sand and saying, "I double dog dare you!"

    Many sites have contests, and we don't. Now don't think I'm tossing in a cash prize, but I am challenging all of you to a contest. I want you to commit to this by replying to this thread. After the deadline, I will start a poll and the readers can decide the winner.

    Here you go - I am going to give you the first paragraph to a story. You are going to finish the story. You may not change the paragraph in any way. You may choose whatever genre you wish. It will be interesting to see how many different ideas come from the talented writers here. On May 1st we will all submit our stories. I will post the links to the stories for the readers and they can vote on the one they feel is the best. You may not discuss your story with any other writer on this site.
