The problem is the hypocrisy of someone who used this method in the past to win CAW and then immediately banned anyone from doing the same thing in the next CAW? By the way, has anyone noticed that his entry apparently disappeared in remarkably quick time whereas I am still waiting for a mod to pull mine?

 

But he barred it at the time because people complained. It's been used since.

I don't know if anyone would be interested but

I actually got an idea for this challenge a few days ago and have been writing furiously as you might expect.

Emotional? Oh God yes.

What I was wondering is if anyone could be bothered giving it the old once over. Spelling and grammar are important of course but I would really appreciate thoughts on the structure- how it holds together and how it can- or needs to be- made stronger.

Fair enough. Not knowing when, how, or to whom horse made his request, I can't speak to the chronology of events. However, your post complaining that your story was not removed appeared nearly five hours after the time ejls, the mod who keeps close tabs on the story forum, most likely went to bed, considering the times zone she's in. I simply wanted to point out a possible reason for the lack of action on your request.

It won't be long before they have the same problem that the Aussies have - they cannot kill them fast enough to keep the population under control.

 

From what I gather, and if I recall correctly, parts of Australia still have the problem. In the area of America where I live, we still have over abundance of wild cotton tails and jack rabbits.

And before anyone asks why we simply don't eat the things, the answer is this: enough of them carry fleas with bubonic, and some idiots die every year from ignoring the warning not to consume them.

 

I thought that the plague was spread by the bites of the fleas instead of by the consumption of animals which had been bit by the fleas. Very little can actually escape the digestive tract to cause disease due to the nature of the beast itself - digesting.

AAAAAnyways - gotta get gone for my first day on a new job back in Dallas.

 

That was my understanding of it as well, yet people here still die from the blasted stuff for consuming the rabbits.
