Okay, maybe this is crazy, but I challenge all of you. I'm throwing down the glove, drawing a line in the sand and saying, "I double dog dare you!"

Many sites have contests, and we don't. Now don't think I'm tossing in a cash prize, but I am challenging all of you to a contest. I want you to commit to this by replying to this thread. After the deadline, I will start a poll and the readers can decide the winner.

Here you go - I am going to give you the first paragraph to a story. You are going to finish the story. You may not change the paragraph in any way. You may choose whatever genre you wish. It will be interesting to see how many different ideas come from the talented writers here. On May 1st we will all submit our stories. I will post the links to the stories for the readers and they can vote on the one they feel is the best. You may not discuss your story with any other writer on this site.

So, what do you say? Are you up for it? Can you take someone else's idea and make it your own? I DARE YOU!!!!!!!

She was lucky she knew the area so well, or she could have easily become lost. I chose May 1st because we will be out of the winter doldrums and it will allow new writers the time they need to work out their stories.

A little clarification please:

On May 1, do we post the stories to the Sex Stories section, or will there be a specific thread for the contest entries, or should we create our own threads? Should we alert you once the story is posted, and if so, how?

Your opening paragraph is intriguing. It actually directs us nowhere, which means we can go anywhere. It strikes me that this would be the perfect opportunity for us to break out of our molds and explore genres we haven't tried before. Let's see, that means that I could do a story with a mature woman who is a sub to a flesh-eating, scat-obsessed, canine-appearing gay alien, couldn't I?

Yeah, no, maybe not.

By the way, since the admins seem to have no interest in revitalizing the story section or keeping writers inspired to post their works, I think it is admirable that the grand lady of erotic romance is doing her part to keep us writers coming back!
