Geez, what is this, a game of 'are we there yet?'

Is the list also going to be in alphabetical order? And if so, are you going to use the standard technique of ignoring articles when alphabetizing? I only ask because the title of my story starts with "The" and the second word starts with "A" and I'm curious to know whether it will be closer to the beginning of the list or the end. I suspect that stories at the beginning have a slight advantage in the voting over stories at the end. If I had known they would be listed alphabetically, I would have left out the "The" from the title to make it unambiguous.

 

We're listing the entries in alphabetical order including articles. So a story called "Aardvark's Anniversary" will be higher up the list than "The Aardvark's Anniversary".

There are six entries with titles starting with "The" out of a total of thirteen entries. We would like to think readers aren't going to cherry-pick only a few stories to read from that group.

Besides, entries have to go in some order, right?

Please be extremely careful with what you say, in case you accidentaly reveal which story is yours through one careless phrase. We really, really don't want to disqualify somebody. We are not traffic officers, hiding behind a bush and trying to see to whom we can give tickets to for driving over the speed limit. We are simply the ones monitoring the rules that everybody are playing by.

A disqualification won't be something we do lightly - somebody would really have to try very hard to break the rules before we take that drastic step.



However, in the name of sportmanship and fair play, please adhere to the rules.

Remember everyone, one of my original ideas got eliminated (and justly at that) due to my own carelessness early in the writing phase, as had one other who posted their synopsis in the open.

Just use due caution.

Another topic - is the story post estimate of mid-week still holding steady if the problems have been taken care of?

Edit added - main reason I ask is to anticipate which comes first: stories posted or Brooteforce going completely mad?
