OK everyone, here's the challenge for the 7th Writer's Competition here on the Forum.​

The competition is open to all, whether existing writers or new 'first-timers'.

The challenge:

American drive-in theatres ruled the world of movie entertainment through the 1950’s 60’s and 70’s, replaced by VCR cassettes and “home theatre” in the 1980’s. Now the drive-in’s have all been torn down and their empty lots turned into shopping centers.

In order to supply the movies for those many drive-in’s, movie companies like Hammer Films, American International and Independent International turned out low budget monster, slasher and sexual themed movies to thrill, chill and heat up the participants of movie date nights, watching and clutching in the back seats of millions of cars.

One trick, devised by the producers to generate films, was to have tantalizing titles conjured up by the promotions department and then titillating posters made to lure in the prospective movie goer.

When a poster looked good enough to bring in the audience, a director (like Ed Wood, Roger Corman or Russ Meyer) was then chosen to bring in a writer, hire some actors and actually make a movie to fit the poster.

Your challenge is to write the story.

“Females For Hire” is just the theme of our challenge. It is a working title and it is suggested that you come up with your own title so that we can tell one entry from another.

After you have posted 10 times, you will be able to pm another member. Normally you would click on their name and see a drop-down box where one of the options is sending a Private Message. The POLL is established after the challenge entries are submitted and the links sent to ELP. He will create the poll, supplying everyone with the links to the entries. Read all the stories and vote.

Hey ELP, I'd like to just clarify if I may. The theme is Females For Hire. Correct me if I'm wrong, but, it doesn't have to be about a movie, drive-in or anything like that. It needs to be based on those three words, right?

Just wanna' make sure my last one hundred and four brain cells are firing on all cylinders.
