  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

She accomplished this feat in February 2017 taking just over 18 months to reach her goal and she picked up some funding along the way to help make it a reality including becoming a peace embassador.

Not bad for a woman that is afraid of flying LOL.

That is both good and bad ...

Some people like to actually enjoy a destination for some time while others are just passing thru lol.

Considering that she spent about as much time traveling as visiting it isn't as glamorous as it sounds but is a great accomplishment all the same.

Right. I like to see stuff and take in some culture. Not just run through and leave.

I know, just pointing out one of those weird quirks in the English language you might not have been familiar with, being a Canuckian and not having English as your primary language.

Not doubting you RK, I just thought it was "loose women and fast horses" lol.

But Charlie Walker did coin "Fast Women Slow Horses And Wine"

Still makes for some great photo albums.

She went through 4 passports as well and they are all full of customs stamps and visa's.

I thought I was doing well with 3 lol.

Even a pardon only helps so much as the pardon only covers the originating country that the application was made and you would need get a waiver from the country you want to visit to be able to "carry" in their country. Normally I have to surrender my sidearm in some countries that I visit unless they are dangerous enough that I go through the hoops needed to keep it on me for protection instead of hiring security.

Great example, the guerilla's like to take westerners hostage for ransom down there. I traveled extensively for oil companies years ago and can atest to your statement but was smart enough to stay on the beaten path lol.

Even that was tricky at times ...

It's funny how that works and makes for some tough choices if it is on her own dime this time.

It was a chore for my gf (now ex-wife) to get me to go to Greece years ago ... I ended up moving there for a year once I realized how beautiful it was on Santorini.

I bought a parcel of land on the island but the government wouldn't approve my building plans so I went back recently and sold the plot for a shitload of money. They rezoned it for commercial development and it has become a "tourist trap".

I go back every couple years to visit the friends (locals) I made over the years.

There are some who think Santorini was the lost city of Atlantis before the volcano blew it apart years ago.

I guess touching down in a city and going thru customs counts as being there...

still it is something very few had done...

By that reasoning RK, one could go to every embassy in the USA and that would cover at least half of the countries in the world since the embassy is sovereign territory of that nation.

I met an Australian woman on a trip once who had traveled around the world. When she got home, she rested, took care of business, then went around the world the other way.
    I love it.

      Maybe 2,
60 day trips to different ports might work also....

after 60 days that might be enough for me.....at one time...

10 days goes way to fast....I found the 3 day and 7 days where just a hassle....

I use to have travel agent friends that would notify me on late booking cheap cruises....

otoh...after 134 days they have to drag me off the ship as I might just want to live there...

Check out Holland America cruise line. They do a lot of longer cruises and sometimes have bargain fares. Sometimes..

Anyway, yeah, 3 or 7 days is too short. My first cruise was 4 days. By the time I figured out what was going on, they were hauling me off the ship..

Funny in that after day 5, I'm ready to get home. The 7 day cruise is 2 days too long for me. We're taking the whole fam damily on a 7 day cruise at the end of July. There's a Bob Marley tour in Jamaica that goes to his home, and serves edibles and such. Last time I took SWMBO bareback in the Caribbean in Jamaica... I guess I should elaborate that it was on horseback, lest that be misconstrued...

      It's SWMBO's 60th birthday.

Sorry, I'm late to the convo. We had guests drop in today.

That sounds like fun conroe. That's a pretty generous thing to do Mon. It would be nice to take the family on a cruise. I don't see it happening here though . I'd have to see some more love... lol

It's her family, not mine. Whenever a business says, "We treat you like family", I say, "Oh HELL NO!!! Please don't treat me like THAT!!!" LOL

Only have a helicopter license (which covers single engine as well), that would be a chore getting across oceans lol.

She sailed to some of her destinations too. No thanks.
