Hillary chokes as she coughs up lies

    5/27/17

hillary wellesley commencement but nixon trump.jpg

Hillary Rodham Clinton, Class of ’69, returned to Wellesley College yesterday and told the new graduates with a straight face, “You are graduating at a time when there is a full-fledged assault on truth and reason.”

Folks, you can’t make this stuff up. Hillary Clinton, lecturing the youth of America about the dangers of lying, and pointing the finger … at somebody else.

She accused President Trump of proposing a budget that was a “lie. Let’s call it what it is. It’s a con.”

    Like, say, the Clinton Foundation?

“They don’t even try to hide it. Why does all this matter? It matters because if our leaders lie about the problems we face, we’ll never solve them.”

    Where to begin?

This is the same woman who claimed that she was under sniper fire in Tuzla, that she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary (five years before anyone ever heard of him), who said all four of her grandparents were immigrants (it was one), who claimed she was “dead broke” when she left the White House.

This is the woman who said she’d never endorsed the Trans-Pacific Partnership, who tried to enlist in the Marines in ’75, who swore her server wasn’t hacked and she was never subpoenaed (Trey Gowdy called her out on that one), who compared herself to Honest Abe Lincoln, who said Chelsea Clinton was downtown on 9/11 ...

“When people in power invent their own facts,” said the world-class fact-inventor, “and attack those who question them, it can mark the beginning of the end of a free society.”

She just can’t help herself. I’m not sure she even knows the difference between what she says and the truth. But if you’re going to pitch a hall full of gullible grads on your veracity, does it not behoove you to, well, put a lid on the whoppers at least for a few moments?

But right out of the box, it was back to the campaign trail. Hillary coughed up a lung, a hack hacking.

“I’ve got to get a lozenge,” she wheezed. “So we’ll blame allergy instead of emotion.”

Allergy? Hey Hillary, it’s been raining here for days, make that months. The pollen count is lower than your favorability ratings.

So then she mentions what the Wellesley campus mood was way back when in the spring of ’69. Richard Nixon was the new president.

“We were furious about the past presidential election of a man whose presidency would eventually end in disgrace with his impeachment for obstruction of justice.”

Another lie. Nixon resigned, admittedly in disgrace, but he wasn’t impeached. Hillary, it was your husband who was impeached for obstruction of justice and whose presidency ended in disgrace. The fact that the crowd exploded in rapturous applause as she, uh, rewrote history, tells you a lot about the kind of education they’re getting at Wellesley College these days.

“I can’t think of any place I’d rather be this year than right here.”

Stop this woman before she lies again!

“I won’t lie.” There’s another one. “Chardonnay helped a little.”

Okay, I’ll give her that one, but she just put that out there because every once in a while, you have to say something that’s sort of true, a change-up you might say.

At least Hillary was able to remain vertical for the rest of her address. She didn’t keel over with a coughing fit. Afterwards, there were a lot of theories about what caused this latest breakdown. Personally I think she was choking on her own … full-fledged assault on truth and reason.

I'm referring to the post. You have some serious issues

But I do appreciate the irony of "but Trump, but Nixon" as part of a "but Hilary" post.

Actually, that last part was for Stumbles' benefit. But its good too see you be able to finally admit that you appreciate my talents.

Ooh, that's one of my favorites. Now do the one about how you're smarter than everyone in the entire forum and you really only come around to laugh at us and tell us all how stupid we are. That's "an oldie, but a goodie."

And on that note, you have yourself a merry little Sunday.

Hillary is long past knowing the difference in the truth and a lie.
I just have to wonder how stupid people have to be to believe what she says.

Hillary Clinton Has A New Excuse For Why She Lost

    5/26/17

Hillary Clinton’s list of excuses for why she lost the election keeps getting longer.

The former secretary of state has offered up a litany of scapegoats not named Hillary Clinton for her loss. She has already blamed her loss on “misogyny,” former FBI Director James Comey and WikiLeaks. Her aides have blamed “white supremacy” and the media. Now, Clinton is adding to the list.

Clinton blamed alleged voter suppression for her loss during an interview with New York magazine published on Friday. Clinton, citing no evidence to support her claims, said that the alleged voter suppression was especially bad in Wisconsin, where low turnout hurt her campaign.

Left unmentioned, however, is the fact that Clinton virtually ignored Wisconsin during the general election. Clinton didn’t set foot in Wisconsin once during her general election campaign, and ran almost no campaign ads until shortly before the election.

Clinton claimed that “what I was doing was working. I would have won had I not been subjected to the unprecedented attacks by Comey and the Russians, aided and abetted by the suppression of the vote, particularly in Wisconsin.”

While searching for explanations after the election, some progressives seized on “voter suppression” — in the form of voter ID laws — as a reason Trump won. Even liberal news sources are having a tough time buying that line of reasoning, however. Reliably liberal fact-checker Snopes ruled the claim “unproven” because there was no evidence to support it, while liberal website Vox flat out rejected it.

Clinton’s blaming of voter suppression doesn’t appear to be an off-the-cuff remark.

The largest pro-Clinton super PAC during the 2016 election, Priorities USA, produced an “analysis” of voter turnout that claimed voter suppression had a “significant impact” on the electoral outcome.

The super PAC then shared that memo offering cover for Clinton’s loss with left-wing publication The Nation, which accepted the super PAC’s claims uncritically, pushing out the headline, “Wisconsin’s Voter-ID Law Suppressed 200,000 Votes in 2016 (Trump Won by 22,748).”

Now, Clinton is pushing that unsupported claim as yet another reason for why she lost.

“Whoever comes next, this is not going to end,” she complained to NYMag. “Republicans learned that if you suppress votes you win.”

Another left-wing website, Talking Points Memo, noted Clinton’s accusations of voter suppression and piled on, claiming, “Criticism of Wisconsin’s strict voter ID laws has gained steam in recent months after a series of reports on the hundreds of thousands of people in that state who did not have sufficient identification to vote.”

The only source Talking Points Memo linked to to support its accusation was The Nation’s article that regurgitated the Clinton super PAC’s claims.

Former President Barack Obama offered a different explanation during an interview in December: Clinton ignored rural voters.

“Democratic voters are clustered in urban areas and on the coasts so you’ve got a situation where they’re not only entire states but also big chunks of states where — if we’re not showing up — if we’re not in there making an argument, then we’re going to lose,” Obama said. “We can lose badly, and that’s what happened in this election.”
    --------------------------

Axelrod: Comey 'didn’t tell Hillary Clinton not to campaign in Wisconsin'

    5/3/17

David Axelrod said that although Hillary Clinton has a “legitimate beef” with FBI Director James Comey, Comey is not responsible for the mistakes of her campaign.

"Jim Comey didn't tell her not to campaign in Wisconsin after the convention," said Axelrod, who served as former president Barack Obama's adviser, on CNN on Wednesday. "Jim Comey didn't say 'don't put any resources into Michigan until the final week of the campaign.'"

During an interview at an event in Manhattan Tuesday, Clinton said that she takes “absolute personal responsibility” for the loss but said she was “on her way

to winning” before Comey and Russia intervened.

Well, it seems the Ku Klux Kunt is determined to stay in the public eye.

Hillary: Trump’s debate stalking ‘made my skin crawl’

    8/23/17

Hillary Clinton described Donald Trump as a “creep” and someone who “made my skin crawl” when he followed her around the stage during their second presidential debate, according to an excerpt of her new book.

“No matter where I walked, he followed me closely, staring at me, making faces. It was incredibly uncomfortable. He was literally breathing down my neck. It made my skin crawl,” she said in an excerpt of her book “What Happened” shown Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

The two candidates faced off on Oct. 9, 2016, just two days after a tape surfaced of a 2005 Trump appearance on “Access Hollywood” in which he bragged about groping women. “When you’re a star, they let you do it,” he said.

At one point during the town hall-style debate, Trump began shadowing Clinton as she walked around the stage while answering a question.

She said Trump was “looming” behind her and she questioned whether she should just “stay calm and keep smiling” or confront him.

“Do you turn and look him in the eye and say loudly and clearly, ‘Back up, you creep. Get away from me. I know you love to intimidate women but you can’t intimidate me. So back up,'” she wrote in the book excerpt.

But she said she decided not to lash out at Trump on stage at Washington University in St. Louis.

“I kept my cool, aided by a lifetime of dealing with difficult men trying to throw me off. I did, however, grip the microphone extra hard,” she said in the excerpt of the book, which is scheduled to come out on Sept. 12.

But later she said she had second thoughts about how she handled Trump’s behavior and thought confronting him would have been the better option.

“It certainly would have been better TV. Maybe I have over-learned the lesson of staying calm, biting my tongue, digging my fingernails into a clenched fist, smiling all the while, determined to present a composed face to the world,” she said.

In the book, she also said she would not provide a “comprehensive account” of the 2016 presidential race. Instead, she said she wanted to tell her side of the campaign.

“I want to pull back the curtain on an experience that was exhilarating, joyful, humbling, infuriating and just plain baffling,” she said.

She also talked about the pressure of being the Democratic presidential candidate taking on Trump.

“Every day I was a candidate I knew that millions of people were counting on me, and I couldn’t bear the idea of letting them down. But I did. I couldn’t get the job done. And I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life. ”

She said there were many moments from the campaign that she wishes she could do over while poking fun at how the Russians hacked her emails.

“If the Russians could hack my subconscious, they’d find a long list,” she said.

Now you know you are looking at PR hacks when they try to deflect with trivial things. This thread started with the claim that Hillary Clinton was trying to play the victim. While in her new book which includes her reaction and reflection of just how creepy Trump was stalking her during the debate the bulk of the book is actually all the ways they fucked up during the campaign and she blames herself.

Clinton lost the popularity contest when he lied to America about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

    - shootersa

    -------

    Gallup June 4, 1999

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup's presidential job approval measure has been used as a shorthand summation of the public's opinion of a president for over 50 years. The job approval measure came under particular scrutiny and criticism during 1998, based primarily on the seemingly paradoxical fact that the measure did not drop precipitously as Clinton's Lewinsky assignations became public and as Bill Clinton became only the second president in U.S. history to be impeached.

The facts are straightforward: Bill Clinton received the highest job approval ratings of his administration during the Lewinsky/impeachment controversy. As the Lewinsky situation unfolded, Clinton's job approval went up, not down, and his ratings remained high for the duration of the impeachment proceedings.

    1. Jdbfromnj
That was because Americans saw Lewinsky as an improvement over Hillary!

Actually it was because they thought Congressional Republicans were acting like 13 year old boys giggling and snickering over a copy of Hustler.

Speaking of Hustler, during this "scandal" Larry Flynt proved that many of the Republican Congressmen who pretended to be shocked by President Clinton's behavior were guilty of similar misdeeds. :p

Are we now saying that the "job approval rating" is a popularity contest?

To a considerable extent yes. One rarely approves of the policies of a politician one dislikes. One rarely disapproves of a candidate one likes.

Here's what cracks me up about this thread. No one in the history of politics has played the eternal victim more than Trump. He plays the victim every day. The media is totally unfair to him. The Republicans and Democrats are unfair to him. Everyone and everything is unfair to him. And its Clinton's fault. And its Obama's fault. And the only one who is perfect and never has any fault at all is him.

And so the Trump supporters have to keep starting threads like this hoping the rest of us won't notice that its actually Trump who always claims to be the victim.

Probably the first book to ask a question in the title and go on to answer it right on the cover, so there's really no need to bother opening it...or buying it.
