Anaheim up 2-0 on Calgary after 1 and Minnesota up 1-0 on STL early in the 2nd.
So the Flames are the only team in the "we suck" club as the Ducks take game 4 and the series 4 games to nothing. You are an embarrassment ...
Minnesota prolonged the inevitable by winning game 4 to stave off elimination.
So Pittsburgh joins Anaheim in waiting ofr their next opponent as they win their series 4-1 and the Oilers are down a goal but still in it but in danger of going down 3-2 in the series going back to SJ.
Wow, Nashville walked all over Chicago and wins their series 4-0 as well and awaits their next opponent as the Rangers won in OT to take a 3-2 series lead.
3-2 SJ with under 8 to go.
Oilers tie it 3-3 late in the 3rd. Overtime coming up.
Can't remember seeing a place go this nuts over a goal lol. Shoot me now, I am actually cheering for the Oilers ...
Three series could end tonight ...
Minnesota is making this a game and came back to tie it 3-3 with 4 minutes left and need this win for force a game 6.
Another one bites the dust as the Wild lose in OT and go down 4-1 in the series.
1-0 Montreal after the 1st period. The Habs need the win to force a game 7.
Edm/SJ is an 8:30 et start and can finish off the Sharks with a win tonight or force a game seven as well.
One game winner take all games are only good if your team wins them lol.
2-1 NY after 2.
Soooo, Montreal is the 2nd Canadian team to go down as NY scores an empty netter with 30 seconds left and the final is 3-1 and 4 games to 2.
Oilers and Sharks are scoreless in the 1st.
The Rangers now await the winner of the Senators/Bruins series.
Nashville will take on the Blues next.
Anaheim will take on the winner of EDM/SJ
Pittsburgh will take on the winner of WAS/TOR
If Edmonton can hold on they will win the series tonight and play Anaheim.
And there it is, The Oilers take out the Sharks in 6 games. They are looking good but will have their hands full with the Ducks.
Now a bunch of teams will have quite a wait to play round 2 especially if Toronto or Boston win tomorrow and prolong round 1. Teams tend to get stale with long layovers ...
Two big games today:
It couldn't get any closer as this comes down to the next goal deciding the Bruins fate ... 2-2 after regulation time.
