A few weeks ago, my friend took his sailboat out in heavy weather to test it before putting it in the ocean next spring. The weather became a lot worse than anyone thought it would be. A cable snapped. He was injured. His boat is made of steel, and he also slipped, and fell causing severe head injuries.

That's why I haven't been here much.

He'll finally be coming home on Friday, with more bed rest, and few more weeks of rehab. I don't know how much bed rest he'll get with the company that's moved into his house while he's been in hospital.

Three ladies from Montreal, one from Toronto, and another that I'm not sure where the hell she's from. Even the hospital wasn't happy with them constantly being there, and constantly asking what was happening everytime medical staff tried to do anything for him. I have no idea what crap they'll pull when he gets home.

The oldest one who's from Montreal has got to be 90 or more if she's a day. Her French accent is thick I can hardly understand her. She scares the hell out of me. They treat me like I'm some little girl, not mean or anything, but won't explain, or include me in anything. Witchy kind of people, with herbs, and crystals, and the such! That crap really freaked the nurses out! He didn't even know them until a couple of months ago! They seem to have come out of nowhere!

I probably shouldn't bitch. They're paying for everything including some things a young lady who's a friend of his from down the road needed. But they've been planting things on his property, and a weird circle thing in the woods at the back of his house. Creeps me out.

The last couple of years he's been teaching me how to write short stories, and preparing to actually write a book. It's unlikely any of that will happen as long as they're here.

Yes, I'm a little jealous, but also concerned how he's going to be with such a full house.

I just simply had to vent, and horribly over tired. Someone's moving around upstairs, so I have to go. Way past the time I should be in bed anyway.

 

You seem to have a lot of hard luck stories, do you think you may be the common denominator?
