If Trump gets impeached, do you think it could spark a civil war?

If so, which side would you be on?
This is the part where you find out that Trump can only be removed from office if he is convicted of impeachment, right?
IF there is ANY evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors committed by President Trump, do the Republicans in Congress have the balls to put country over party to convict President Trump of impeachment?
No, they don't have the balls.
Having been a registered Independent all my adult life, I know that I will have to kill the right wing crazies to stay alive.
I am not worried about the left wing pussies.
I shoot straight and I hit what I aim at.
My side is staying alive.
I'll kill the pieces of shit coming to kill me regardless of their politics.
Which side are you on?
For President Cheeto to be impeached he does not have to be convicted of a crime at all. All impeachment takes is a vote of no confidence.
Impeachment involves a trial in the United Stats Senate.
Two Presdents have been impeached : Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.
Neither was CONVICTED of impeachment.
You must live in Europe.
Nixon was 1 vote away from the 2/3 needed.
And Clinton was voted impeached by one chamber only.
Oh and for the record my family has been in this nation since long before it was a nation, we have roots in this state going back to the mid 1400s and none have ever been illegal or migrant.
When we came to Texas it was still Mexico. How far d your roots run?
good one lol.
that's actually quite funny , the 15th century is quite a long time ago , in European american history.
Before ole Henry VIII ,to put in a famous time line.
Actually probably before Richard III
brought to mind lyrics:
hey up Santa Anna,
they're killing your soldiers below
so the rest of Texas will know
and remember the Alamo
Can't be the mid 1400's.
depends where from
The Aztecs, the last of pre-Columbian Mexico’s great native civilizations, rose to prominence in the central valley of Mexico around 1427
Spaniard Hernán Cortés arrived at Veracruz in 1519
so they can't have been European
If Trump gets impeached, do you think it could spark a civil war?
That would depend on when he is impeached and under what circumstances. He is already the most unpopular recently elected president since polling agencies have studied the matter. Nevertheless, he retains a hard core of support. Most hard core Trump supporters own guns. Many are or have been in the military. If Trump was driven from office right now the response of many Trump supporters could be violent. I would not expect organized violence, but the kind of thing Timothy McVeigh was involved in.
Although he was reelected in a landslide in 1972 Nixon was driven from office less than two years later. By the time he was driven from office there was little support for him. Part of the reason for the lack of support was the recession of 1974. This put the electorate in a bad mood. If the economy continues to improve, Trump will get much of the credit, and it would be unwise to drive him from office.
I would never fight on his behalf. I do not want him to be driven from office.
Well, first, the only reason Nixon was driven from office was because he forgot the age old rule of politicians; Deny, deny, deny, but if they have you red handed, beg forgiveness and deny, deny, deny.
Second, you all assume that Trump has done anything to be impeached; so far all we've seen is butt hurt liberals still frothing that their man (woman) lost.
Third, you assume that the majority of people who voted Trump actually thought the pompous gas bag would be a good president; unlike arrogant, elite liberals, the Trump supporters were realistic in their expectations when they voted. They didn't want Trump in so much as they needed to keep Clinton out.
So, no, there wouldn't be a civil war, but whoever managed to get Trump impeached would find out first hand about the revolution. Because money is the only reason to impeach Trump; that he is threatening politicians feeding at the trough.
So, you're willing to give your life for a man who you call a pompous gas bag and who you admit would not be a good president.
Also, you are delusional if you think this is about Clinton. Massively delusional.
Impeachment is a house of representatives issue .
Actual removal from office requires Senate approval and is both houses of Congress are in Republican hands Trump will not be removed from office .
The executive branch is become so much more powerful than both houses of Congress put together .
No president has been removed from office unless it was done voluntarily and I don't see this as being the first one to be .
Republicans have just about the same reasons and desires to get rid of Trump.
You will notice many republicans side with the democrats when it comes to Trump.
It isn't really a republican democrat thing.
It is a politician citizen thing.
That is what most people miss or choose to ignore. The Dems are of course against him, because he's not one of them and he beat them.
The Rep. Don't like him because he's not one of them either. The media hate him because he became successful without them, and they can't let that stand.
The Deep State Ruling elite class cant have someone come in and crash their party, they will do whatever is necessary to destroy him so no one else will ever again try to challenge them.
That is what's really going on here.
It is so good to see someone who really knows what is happening.
Most people do not look past party lines.
I would be on the side that says civil war in this country would be the stupidest thing that we could possibly do and reject the notion.
No, don't be ridiculous. The Trump supporters are few and in the minority, especially now. They're weak and pathetic, and don't stand a chance against anything, especially not the Army or the Police. The whole movement will implode upon itself and petty infighting is the only fighting we'll get to see. And it'll be wonderful.
You mean in that hypothetical civil war in your head, where the righteous Trumpets fight the oppressive Liberals? I'll be on team Alligator Riders. Never underestimate the power of alligators.
The D's and R's have worked together to create a pretty cozy system . It's kind of like Oceania and Eurasia and East Asia . They all vilify each other but ensure that the opposing group will always exist .
Trump challenged that and the Republicans would rather dismember one of their own then to break up that very cozy system
Most people don't even know what impeach means, or how it works, and how long it takes.
it probably looks like that from up Trump's arse.
Republicans got their asses whipped when they try to remove Clinton from office .
Like Marbury versus Madison I think that the politicians learned their lesson .
Nothing sticks to President Teflon which says a lot about the US at the moment!
The new Teflon Don...though it is hard to get imaginary shit to stick. Maybe the froth needs to get their hands dirty and actually grab something of substance to try to smear Trump with it...real shit. Don't see it happening.
Give it time. These things take time, and time is what the investigation has a lot of. Soon enough, the rats will jump ship and start ratting on each other.
He'll die in prison.
You are full of shit, but keep on frothing.
He will never see a day in prison.
There would be absolutely no reason he would even be accused of a crime that would be punishable in prison. I'm sorry to say this, but you folks are buying what the press and media is selling. Impeachment proceedings will NEVER be brought against President Trump.
I agree. A person has to do something wrong before they can be convicted of a crime.
Democrats will accuse him of many things but there still has to be proof a person broke a law before it will go to more than gossip.
Something the democrats have forgotten about.
If neither of the Clintons went to jail it is a sure bet no other politician will ever go to jail.
Separate names with a comma.
