I think ignorance is bliss, but there are very few times in our lives when we can actively choose to be ignorant.

Every time I catch wind of a story regarding Farty-Pants (and at least half of the time that is through here) it makes my day slightly worse. Before acquiring that information I was that little bit more blissful.

That's just one personal topical example for you all.

I think that ignorance is a daily choice but can't be used as a means of happiness only denial.

It can be a choice but nobody can say that they will be happy tomorrow, it's retrospective.

I spent a whole month away from the news, talk radio, GD, and all other forms of negativity. It was the happiest and most peaceful month in my life.

When I'm online I no longer wish to deal with haters, partisan political blowhards, and depressing subjects.

This is my free time. A time to relax and enjoy myself. A time to enjoy PORN at this PORN forum.

Thank God I know none of the GD regulars IRL. If they were my constant companions IRL I'd have to kill myself in order to find any peace and happiness.

How about giving up being a bunch of humorless partisans and negative ninnies who act like you've never even seen porn and start acting like fun people who are posting at a fun PORN forum for a change?

 

It seems to me that you can choose to be a positive (learn and develop)influence on yourself and the people around you or withdraw from the arena and put in zero effort.

Think about the past and issues and events that have already run their course and cannot be changed or find new challenges and gain the expertise and use past experience as a reference point begin a new journey.

Re invent yourself as a member of the human race, realising the microscopic amount of time that you will be alive and the infinite odds of you existing at all, nevermind being able to type words into a machine that will allow you to make contact with thousands of people that you will never meet.
