Whoever it was that said that now is not the time for a constitutional convention because the country is to polarized ; all I can say is that the federalists and the anti-Federalist were at each other's throat's at least as much as conservatives and liberals are today and probably more.

It's a nonstarter probably but now is the perfect time to have a second constitutional convention .

We are in a culture war and it needs to be resolved one way or the other .

We can finally resolve what free-speech really means. What the Second Amendment really means and the actual parameters of presidential power which increasingly overshadows the other two branches of government almost more with each passing administration .

It would give us a chance to re-examine the prohibitions on becoming president based on where you're born . And what a citizen of the United States really means beyond where you happen to be born .

It seems to me that liberals would be anxious for such a re-examination. But it seems that they would prefer to look at the Constitution as a living document that can be bent to their will

A constitutional convention will never solve the problems of divisivness within this country... to even suggest it is foolish.

Today a Constitutional Convention will ultimately relieve the citizens of this nation many afforded rights, the 18th is empirical proof of that.

Just like anything else, to solve a problem they think throwing more money at it will resolve, to create a new bigger better version of the U.S.C. will resolve.....fuck that.

There was more proof of Trump's mental illness in his Sunday morning tweet storm. First he tweeted that when people see unnamed sources in a news article its because they are just making it up and the sources don't exist. Then he followed that up with "its very possible they don't exist." It was another example of his rambling incoherence.

Here are some more signs and symptoms of Trump's mental illness. One is obsession. During his overseas visit Trump was so obsessed about the Russian investigations he kept interrupting meetings on other issues to rant and rave about the Russian investigation causing others at the meetings to privately question his sanity. Another sign is paranoia. Trump is convinced everyone is out to get him and that he is the victim of a vast conspiracy which includes members of his own staff. And the third is confusion. Trump constantly contradicts himself and his staff. He contradicts himself in tweets and interviews. And even though he is obsessed and paranoid about the Russian investigations he cannot decide what to do about them and issues orders to his staff and then issues completely different directives as if he does not remember what he ordered them to do before.

 

1) Obsession....Leftists are still looking for the collusion between the Trump win and Russia

2) Paranoia....Leftists need a special investigative council to make sure that this is a thorough and fair Trump/Russia collusion investigation that will be taken to where the facts are leading

3) Contradictions....The leftists have publicly stated they want impeachment proceedings placed upon Trump...22 minutes later they deny it was said.
