I find it surprising difficult. First you have to start with the fact that there aren't many women. Than since the ratio is so male dominated that women don't have to seek out men (obviously I assume this). So it's up to the boys to put in the effort. As a male it's hard to balance the right amount of assertiveness to get a girls attention without drifting into the creepy category. That is a slippery slope. Thoughts?

There are real people here, including some real woman who would probably be willing to meet you if you became friends here and chatted enough. The problem is geography. It's a big world out there and most people cant travel hundreds or thousands of miles just to meet someone else.
Many people will also never meet with anyone online for safety reasons, which is understandable.
The timing also has to be right, as sometimes life gets in the way and people can't get the schedules to synch up.

It does happen and there are people here who have met, but it is rare and you would be better served putting your energy somewhere else.

I guess I should clarify this. By meet I don't mean in person or even any real contact. I just meant someone you maybe get to know more than just the "hey we just got each other off one time so on to the next person" type of deal. Plus I might go months between visits to the site which obviously doesn't help.
