  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Ray Charles - The Genius Of Ray Charles [1959]
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejszzBkv2ew

The album showcased Charles' breakout from rhythm and blues and onto a broader musical stage. Atlantic Records gave him full support in production and arrangements. As originally presented, the A side of the album featured the Ray Charles band with David "Fathead" Newman supplemented by players from the Count Basie and Duke Ellington bands, and arrangements by Quincy Jones.
The B side of the original album consists of six ballads with arrangements by Ralph Burns and a large string orchestra. Charles's performance of "Come Rain or Come Shine", a song identified with Frank Sinatra, brought public attention to his voice alone without the "distractions" of his soulful piano and his snappy band.
Each side contains a tribute to Louis Jordan with two songs he had hits with "Let the Good Times Roll" and ("Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying").

    Side one
    1. "Let the Good Times Roll" (Sam Theard, Fleecie Moore) – 2:53
    2. "It Had to Be You" (Gus Kahn, Isham Jones) – 2:45
    3. "Alexander's Ragtime Band" (Irving Berlin) – 2:53
    4. "Two Years of Torture" (Percy Mayfield, Charles Joseph Morris) – 3:25
    5. "When Your Lover Has Gone" (Einar Aaron Swan) – 2:51
    6. "'Deed I Do" (Walter Hirsch, Fred Rose) – 2:27
    Side two
    1. "Just for a Thrill" (Lil Hardin Armstrong, Don Raye) – 3:26
    2. "You Won't Let Me Go" (Bud Allen, Buddy Johnson) – 3:22
    3. "Tell Me You'll Wait for Me" (Charles Brown, Oscar Moore) – 3:25
    4. "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Cryin'" (Joe Greene) – 3:46
    5. "Am I Blue?" (Grant Clarke, Harry Akst) – 3:41
    6. "Come Rain or Come Shine" (Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen) – 3:42

This is one of my all time favorites along with "Blue in Green"

I also don't see any Carmen McRae. She is hands down my absolute favorite female jazz vocalist.

This is a great song, but, I don't see it as being jazz. Her version is my favorite, although the she was not the first to record it.

    Merry Christmas, Baby

    Etta James
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1xyYQhSuHg

"Merry Christmas Baby" is an R&B Christmas standard written by Lou Baxter and Johnny Moore. It has been covered by many artists including Otis Redding, B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Melissa Etheridge, and Hanson. The original 1947 version by Johnny Moore's Three Blazers (featuring singer/pianist Charles Brown (musician), is the definitive version of this song. Notable cover versions include those by Chuck Berry on his 1964 album St. Louis to Liverpool and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band recorded live at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, and included on the Christmas album A Very Special Christmas, released in 1987.[1]
Johnny Moore's Three Blazers was one of the hottest blues attractions on the West Coast when their recording of "Merry Christmas Baby" reached position #3 on Billboard's R & B Juke Box chart during the Christmas of 1947. Guitarist Johnny Moore commandeered an impressive lineup of players for the recording session, including bassist Eddie Williams, guitarist Oscar Moore (then of the King Cole Trio), and singer/pianist Charles Brown.[2] A version of this song, recorded by Bonnie Raitt and Charles Brown, is included on the Christmas album A Very Special Christmas 2, released in 1992.
