Well folks, it's that time again.

KAW time.

Kalling All Writers,

Everyone and anyone who has not previously won a CAW is invited to join and contribute by writing a story to be voted on.

However, I am also inviting previous CAW winners to participate by writing non entries and reading/voting.

We aim to include all, in anyway we can.

New writer? Seasoned pro? Come on in, grab a pew and get your thinking caps on.

This KAW has a few choices for you all to rattle around in those imaginative brains of yours.

There is a theme and you might have guessed it; the theme is DARKNESS.

You have been given a selection of photographs below to choose from and/or a song. A video has also been posted below.

You may pick ONE PHOTOGRAPH and/or the song.

Your story MUST follow the theme of DARKNESS.

*Also state at the top of your story or post the photograph which you are using.*

I think that the theme and chosen stimuli will give everyone a good, if not excellent chance of finding something to write about and contribute to the KAW in there own unique way.

WRITING STAGE

You will be given 30 days, from the 28/09/15 to write your stories.

You will have up to three days after this date to post your stories on the forum and send me the link.

When you post your story, title the thread as KAW 4 - [Story Title]

Example: KAW 4 - Dark Destiny.

Under the writing section please.

START DATE – 28/09/15 at 00:00 BST
END DATE – 31/10/15 at 00:00 GMT

VOTING STAGE

A poll will be set up with the names of each story for readers and writers to vote on their preferred story.

Voters will be given ONE VOTE ONLY.

It will be anonymous and you will not be able to change it.

So use it wisely.

The poll will be up for two weeks until midnight on the 14/11/15 and after that I will announce the winner of the KAW.

I decided to try my hand - 204 words written at the beginning. Final paragraph also written

I know where I'm starting, I know how it ends - now just to fill in.

 

If the voting is to be anonyomous, should writers just send you the link for their stories? It just seems that if people post their own stories on the forum, everyone will know who wrote which story. Or did I misunderstand a passage somewhere?

 

If I have the time to break out a story I will give you some of the darkness that rolls deeply in the smoke stained deapths of my soul...

I have just been hot and heavy on my next book. I have busted out 150,000 words in the last month, Done a complete edit pass one 135,000 words of it.

just a quick note not sure I can write as evil as the star I usually write about evil getting it's ass handed to itself not sure I can do this one, plus the fact that I am working on 5 different chapters from 5 different stories, and I'm fighting the stomach flu tell you what people I can't win I just get over something and I come down with something else *sigh*.

 

I will contribute a non-entry in support of the KAW. I encourage other non-eligible writers, if you have the time, if you can find the darkness within you, to participate as well. I'm going to assume that non-entries can be posted at any time, to hopefully encourage others to write, and to promote the KAW concept by the title: KAW 4: Some Title (Non-Entry). Wow this is completely out of my element I would need to ask my friend Interesting Reed for some help he done one of these KAW before. I usually write love stories with some sex in it but this, hmmm will be a challenge. I hope I can do it I'll try anyways and if I like it I'll post it. ^,~

 

Like Sybil, at one time or another, we've all had to step outside our boxes and do something totally unexpected. It's hard, but I have to be honest with you, some of my favorite stories are the ones no one ever would have expected came from my pen. You never know until you try. Good luck!

 

Funny thing is - I'm doing this one because the story-line popped into my head based on one of the pics. It's very much INSIDE my 'box'.

 

Quite honestly, judging by his reception here, and how much of a pompous ass he was, you might do better looking for a different friend.

 

Since we don't have to post anonymously, I've decided to write a story based on this photograph. I like the variety of photo choices.

I was going quite well with my stories about seducing females of moral integrity and heaving bosoms. And now you went and post a picture which captured my attention and immediately sparked a story.

Meh.

I am going on a camp this week. Will start in two weeks' time and see if I can get anywhere near where I want to be. If I don't make it, I will not make it, if I do make it, it may be a rush job.

 

Who said you can't write about seducing females of moral integrity and heaving bosoms? Nothing says they have to be humans....or alive by the end of the story.

If you know the old Welsh folktale of the lady from the lake, you will have kind of an idea where I'm going with this. But think more Horror with a twist.
