Thanks @stex . The name has nothing to do with the brewery. It's a pseudonym made of two random names.

I think it's time, right now, to acknowledge stex. That's a hell of a reading list! Usually, that results from one thing -- a good theme and a well-run competition.

It's early (but not too early) to express thanks to our Host and everyone writing.

Someone's reading them, some have over a 1000 views. That's something I've been meaning to comment on, the stories have a divergence of views. I can only assume random readers dropping in and being intrigued by a title.

I'm impressed. When Stex told me what he was planning, I thought it was a good idea and could attract some entries. I never dreamed of a response like this.

Now that you all have your writing fingers limbered up and your creative juices flowing, get ready for CAW #26.

 

I'm pleased and there's some I'm still waiting for.

There's still time to make and entry, or another entry. Comments are always welcome also.

We may have 24 total, but in terms of words, I'm sure some of your entries alone have had more words than this entire competition. 1000 words is easy. (Hint.)

 

I had been thinking of a one week combined reading/voting phase, to keep the theme of gone in a flash. But with the embarrassment of riches we have with 24 entries (and non entries) I'm wondering if this will be enough time.

There are several of our usually reliable commentators who haven't been seen yet.

Would anyone have a problem with only 1 week? If you would, please speak up, either here or via PM.

If anyone is worried by voting among so many stories, don't worry, voting will be easy. You'll be able to vote for as many as you want to. I'll even take non votes for the non entries if the non entrants don't mind.

So still time to write, read, judge and comment.
