I guess I was looking for a story. Didn't find one.

 

I was put off by the formatting, which made it difficult to read, reformatted like this:

I can see what you're doing. A little short, the original is maybe three times this length.

I have to agree with the comment about formatting. For some reason the OP posted in boldface italics underlined, which also made it difficult to read.

That being said, I thought it was clever. I wondered if someone would do a bawdy take-off on a classic story, poem, or song. It's time people thought outside the box in these competitions. We all enter prose pieces, even though I don't ever remember a prohibition against verse. Breaking tradition is a good thing.

 

This was an interesting take on an age old poem. Thanks for your submission.
