The Chinese economy is already collapsing. It has been predicted as far back as 2006. The usual economic model has always followed the same path throughout history without exception. The US experienced this in post WWI before the stock market collapse. Again, the USSR suffered from the same unsustainable model following WWII, by Brazil in the 70s and by Japan in the 80s. No world economy can sustain such massive amounts of artificial stimulus while suppressing consumption and expect it to be sustainable. One would think a economic power, whether it be a national or local government, or even an individual business would learn from lessons in history, however that doesn't seem to be the case. Enron is a great example of how quickly a business can grow and be very successful and just as quickly, collapse under its own weight. Economy is cylical yet all of these failed or failing powers seem to be caught off guard or shocked by the amount of growth, then attempt to adjust and are once again shocked on how quickly it collapses.

With that said, will China's collapse affect the whole world?...that is unlikely, but us in the US and other countries that rely on China for imported goods and for those countries that help drive the Chinese economy, we will all be greatly affected.
