  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

I can understand what you are saying but you know who "gives a fuck" are the people like me that are behind the scenes by financing films where upcoming actors and crew work hard to make it in an industry that is an "old boy network" and we look forward to them getting the recognition that they are due only to have it taken away or sullied by a fuckup like the one last night.

I won a Sundance Award a few years back for financing a film but didn't want the recognition and wanted that honor bestowed on the people that made the film and not me and although without us financing it it would not have been made but still, they put that money to good use by making a film that some took notice of and as such deserve their moment in the spotlight.

So... I'm racist. I expect that from most of the liberal goofballs around here, but not you.

I will have you know that one of my favorite movies is Philadelphia, which is about blacks, gays, and AIDS. That movie co-stars Denzel Washington, for chrissakes, so get off my ass!!!! :)

I am being neither racist nor homophobic with my suspicion that Moonlight will turn out to be a politically correct letdown. Example: have you ever tried to watch a "Spike Lee joint" from beginning to end? Stand there and tell me you don't need a translator! Just try! His flicks SUCK!!!!!!

    Sheesh.

    Exactly.

This shit gets too much attention and is essentially meaningless. Historically, 90% of "Best Pictures" of the year are not even the 20th best picture of the year.

I will enjoy members opinions of "Moonlight", I rate it as one of the best made and written movies in at least the last 5 years. It was very moving and honest in its portrayal of a gay person in a very unaccepting environment who happens to be black. And the acting was EXCELLENT all around. I honestly found this movie to rate 5 out of 5 in every category. "Manchester by the Sea" rated 4 down to 3 in most categories. The writing missed completely the town and people of Manchester, Massachusetts. Casey Afleck, not one of my favorite actors, did a good job with what he had to work with. The writer didn't let the character get out of self loathing at all, leaving the actor without being able to show the wide range of emotions I believe the character would have been going through. Oscars? Deserved zero. A special comment has to be offered concerning the music score. It was not applicable to the people or the time and it was really not at all reflective of the scenes it played over. Of course, these are personal opinions.

Here's the best part about the whole fiasco.

    Tweet Tweet

His name -- Brian Cullinan -- an accountant at Pricewaterhouse. He's a veteran ... 30 years at the accounting firm.

Here's the thing ... Brian was supposed to discard the spare Best Actress envelope and hand Warren Best Picture.

As for why ... we know this. Brian was tweeting like crazy during the ceremony, posting photos ... so he may have been distracted. Brian has since deleted the tweets, but one was a pic of Emma Stone with her Oscar. If it was tweeted right after her win, that's exactly when Brian should've been prepping for the next category ... Best Picture.

Above I said I'll be pissed to find out that Moonlight in fact is low grade affirmative action trash for degenerates.

I have still have not seen La La Land. It did not win, because it is a great movie, so it is still in theaters so that millions can see it on the big screen. I'll wait for the xFinity rental.

However only 132 people watched BEST PICTURE, Moonlight, in theaters, so it is out for rental now. And I have watched it. Here is my movie review of Moonlight. This review consists entirely of words selected from dialogue in the movie.

I have also heard good things about Moonlight.....
a gay black guy at all stages of his life from being a kid to growing much older...
(I think that is what I heard)

I will see it on a bootlegged internet sight before too long....

    (spoiler alert)

It omitted everything important from said protagonist's life. (Oh... wait... he got his first handjob.) Someone did translate an important scene for me, so that I could learn after the fact that the death of his mentor and father figure had been mentioned in passing. A tragic life, yes, but I just shrugged. There was not a single likeable person in the entire movie. And it ended pointlessly: with the validation of his first sexual experience. Every person's dream. (starry eyes): "Gee. My entire life and my entire point of existence is reduced to my first cum."

As for the dialogue, I barely understood it. The director applied tear drops to inform us of exchanges having a modicum of importance. Subtitles would have been more effective. Oh! tears! They said something important! Consult Google Translate!

I did not say it sucked. But... Best Picture of the Year?

Fuck. The Star Wars movie was better. It had more tears, and you really did see Rogue Girl's entire life, from pigtails to heroic death.

yep.....if it is a black movie and they are talking all boggie-woggie --- I will turn it off in a heartbeat....

I guess they whined and cried enough to finally win Best Picture....which is kind of
like having a lot of money and never knowing if people like/love me for me or for my money.....

Hey, now don't get me wrong. It has its moments. It was fun to watch. And the love angle was tender and sweet (though I suspect most men will be put off, since it is gay). The half-nigga Hispanic dude, Kevin? Mmm. Nice full lips. You just want to be kissed by them, believe me. Mmmm.

    But Best Picture?

    NO.

    Affirmative action. Most definitely.

Just saw Hacksaw Ridge. Good movie. Crisp intelligible dialogue. Good acting. Cool story. As a Mel Gibson joint, it definitely plays with the facts. I'm pretty sure most conscientious objectors who worked as medics could pass the rifle range. That said, good story, great entertainment, two thumbs up.

But please. Also: NOT Best Picture.

Honestly, there should be some years on which they announce, "No Best Picture this year. Now go home."

A few years of that would begin to restore credibility in the broken farce, and it would provide a good motivator.

      yepper...here is an idea.....

best picture is only best picture if it was better than the best picture the year before...

might be like wondering if we ever have another triple crown winner....

I dont watch those award shows anymore anyway.....

Saw Arrival, another contender for Best Picture.

All I can say to this one is....

    Screw it.

    No words. None.

These movies were all up for Best Picture:

Niggers fuck each other up for drugs and cum
Yellow coward wins the war on a Saturday
Aliens save the planet with Rorsach Blots
Pansy dancers save Jollywood (and get robbed)
Asswipes from Boston with bad Boston accents
(and three or four others I can't even remember)

    Think about that.

This SHIT was all up for Best Picture.

Jollywood made sometthing like 300 movies this year. Can you even imagine how shitty the rest of them had to be?

La la land meets sex-offender land!

Not-So-Extreme Vetting: Oscars ‘Tourist’ Revealed to Be Ex-Con Registered Sex Offender

    2/28/17

Sunday night’s 89th Annual Academy Awards featured a bit that saw host Jimmy Kimmel walk a bevy of tourists inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the Oscars were being held. One of those tourists, “Gary from Chicago,” has since become a social media sensation — but according to media reports, he is also a registered sex offender who was just released from prison.

According to ABC Chicago, Gary Alan Coe was convicted of attempted rape and served more than 20 years in prison. Coe told the outlet that he was released from prison just three days before he posed for pictures with Denzel Washington and kissed Nicole Kidman’s hand in the front row at the Academy Awards.

Coe, a self-described “Chicago boy,” was accompanied to Sunday’s ceremony by his fiancée, Vickie Vines. After Vines told Kimmel that her favorite actor was Denzel Washington, the ABC funnyman enlisted the Oscar-nominated actor to officiate the couple’s wedding live on-air.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” Washington said as the audience burst into applause. “Kiss the bride.”

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Oscars organizers knew about Coe’s prison time.

According to Page Six, Jimmy Kimmel Live! canceled Coe’s scheduled appearance on the show Monday night, though a producer was reported to have told him the cancellation was due to a timing issue.

You know, people are probably pissed at how I've ripped Moonlight, but honestly it is pretty much the best I've seen so far. Hacksaw Ridge was also good, but it was a different kind of movie, and Moonlight's love story was more compelling for the mere fact that most of the time it didn't matter they were mumbling Ebonics because words were not required.

But I still have not seen La La Land. And I just have this sick feeling that it's going to kick Moonlight's ass and make me a very irritable Post-Oscar Princess.

It was a genuine question Clarise...........what long toes you have??;)

I have not nor will I watch Moonlight and I do go to the movies quite regularly and I do watch ethnic minority movies although mostly British or Dutch.........I find the US movies very stereotyped..............Trading Places was a classic.

On the subject matter you proposed above you should watch the Dallas Buyers Club which is excellent! I wanted to know exactly what a black movie means to you and what was the last good one you saw.

    OK. So.

I watched La La Land this evening. And now I have seen every Oscar contender.

La La Land loses Best Picture?
    Moonlight wins Best Picture?

Let me repeat that, because we have entered the Twilight Zone.

La La Land loses Best Picture.
    Moonlight wins Best Picture.

One more time, because I still can't fucking believe it.

    La La Land loses.
    Moonlight wins.

    MOONLIGHT wins.

    Moonlight. Wins.

    Over La La Land.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Politically affirmative correct action.

This country has gone fucking insane.
