I will admit the politicians will use political events to advance their careers but in Margaret Thatcher's case I Honestly can't imagine any other politician in the world not dealing forcefully with Argentina in the Falklands war were they leading the U.K.

A better example would've been Ronald Reagan's decision to invade Grenada when his popularity was waning.

There are elections coming up in England and I personally hope that people who clearly see the Muslim threat are elected.

Everyone wants to separate radical Islam from regular Islam

Regular Islam is bad enough because it is simply institutional misogyny.

It is arid and joyless and the most intolerant of all the faiths.

The fact that liberals defend the most conservative institution in the world continues to astound me every single day

 

I know that it's easy to blame the Americans for the current debacle in the Middle East .

Most people turn to the overthrow of Dr. Mosaddegh in1953 and that clearly was a huge tactical mistake done by the United States but the problem started way way way before that .

You can take it back through the mandate system from the league of Nations that largely created the artificial boundaries that define most of the Middle Eastern countries today and the United States was never even a member of the League of Nations. So you can definitely blame the French and the British as well. The Anglo Iranian oil company didn't help much either .

You can blame the ottoman empire that occupied much of the Middle East and the associated frustrations that come from living under occupation and the tensions that arose between the parts of Europe that lived under their occupation as well .

You can blame the behavior of the Crusaders and the scars that were created by that Bizzarre series of European bad decisions .

It even goes beyond Christian and Muslim tensions as much of the Middle East of today was under Roman control . Things got so bad that the Romans actually had to burn Jerusalem to the ground . And Islam did not even exist at that time .

But if you really want to find the fuse that started all of this you could probably point to the Greek burning of Sardis in the 5th century BC.

The Persians barely knew who the Greeks were before this time and it stood as an affront to the Persian Empire. Of course overtime that led to the Greek empire absorbing the Persian empire .

When the movie Alexander came out the Iranians were enraged because it still struck a nerve at national sovereignty . And of course this happened long before the advent of Islam. It was nationalism pure and simple

Personally I think that this latest tension between Christians and muslims is just a veneer on a very very old rivalry .

And I think that it would be going on if neither Christianity nor Islam were ever invented .

Still it needs to be dealt with and it needs to be dealt with for the realities of today but we can't blame the United States for absolutely everything that's happening there right now .

 

And the actual reality, that there ain't no Super Being from whatever fairy tale religion you follow, makes the whole thing so damned nonsensical! Thousands and thousands of people through the ages have been tortured, maimed and slaughtered in the name of one religion or another, all purporting to be following THEIR God or Supreme Being - and none of these so called supreme beings actually exist! They are all in the mind of idiots! Can you imagine what an alien race would think if they ever landed here on Earth and learned of our chaotic and idiotic idologies - they would anihilate us immediately as non-thinking sheep who were not worth keeping!

And they would be bloody right too! We purport to be an intelligent species and yet believe in an invisible God in the sky who is supposed to love us, and yet NEVER seems to put right any of the disgusting violations that are committed in his name. He is supposed to LOVE us - OMG - if that's love give me hatred any time - at least you know where you stand with someone who hates you.

No dear folks of any religion who murder others - he ain't there - so stop saying you are doing it in his name - you ain't - you are doing it because you are filthy scum who enjoy death and torture. There aint' no Virgins awaiting you in the after life if you die as a suicide bomber - there ain't anything waiting for you. In a way I wish there was - 'cos if so it would be the Burning Fires of HELL for the whole of eternity that await you!

All you have done in your miserable existence is to not only murder innocents, but to end your own disgusting life too for something that doesn't exist - and how bloody stupid is that?
