Today I watched Jackass3 ………totally stupid!

 

I loathe the entire Jackass Franchise.

 

I needed to distress and I can usually zone out by watching a movie. I flipped all the stations and nothing was on, nothing good is playing at the theatre so I looked at the pay per view and that was the only movie I hadn’t seen so I picked it. I did laugh a few times but most of what I said was, "oh god". Even though the show was stupid it did the trick and got my mind off the stress for 2 hrs and I was able to refocus. Mission accomplished.

Today, saw:

Mars Needs Moms. This is the first original thought movie that Hollywood has made in nearly thirty years. It's a Disney movie, but there are a couple of scenes inappropiate for the under 13 crowd. The only thing familiar about the movie is the mother-child bond, but other than that, the movie is completely original.

The premise-after mouthing off to his mother, a ten year old boy sees her being abducted by martians. When he tries to save her, he finds himself along for the ride on the spaceship. Once on Mars, he escapes the martians-who had him scheduled for execution. This is only the beginning of his trouble.

I'll leave it at that, but if you're a cinephile who appreciates a fresh idea, go see this flick.

Cedar Rapids-the real problem with this movie is that it takes a long time to get going. The lead character is so bland that it's easy to just walk out and demand a refund. About three quarters of the way through the movie, the plot finally jells. Everything from that point on is pure fun.

The premise-a naive thirty something insurance salesman goes to an insurance convention. It's the first vacation in his adult life, and he soon finds himself over his head dealing a fellow salesman who will sleep with anything with a pulse, a female salesperson who may or may not be a love interest, and a hotel prostitute who is frequently amazed with the naivety of this thirty something adult.

Twas an interesting watch.. give it 3 out of 5. The Ending left me a tad irked.

Today I went to the theatre where I saw "Somewhere" and it totally sucked! Very slow movie. The only good thing was the popcorn was great and I got to tell someone to STFU in person to their face and it felt so good to put a rude person in line and see the look on their face. I do not do this often but when I do wow......... If you can't sit down and be quiet for 2 hrs then stay home and rent a DVD so you don't ruin the experience for others.

 

i dont get it why some people wouldn't shut up and make noises in the movie house
as if they are the only ones watching the movie. duh! there are also people watching the movie and would want to enjoy it but since they are making some shitty noises it ruins the mood of the movie and all...

 

I saw this movie also .... it was the last movie playing at the theatre that I had not seen ... i would agree with the above .... except I don't shop at Walmart.

 

watched "Shutter Island" at the weekend...odd but great!

 

Yesterday I saw ''Red Riding Hood'' ... it is ok ... I would give it six kernels of popcorn out of ten

 

friday I saw Battle for L.A. ..... 7 1/2 kernels of popcorn out of ten

 

Agree .... I thought it had very interesting twists to it ..:rose:

I just watched The Fighter. Not the greatest film but not the worst either.

Tonight I am going to the hockey game so tomorrow I will see a movie. I try and go every Friday. Not much playing. The only thing that looks worthwhile out of everything that is here is "The Lincoln Lawyer"
