2. You mentioned that you liked wearing sunglasses, is this due to eye make-up issues?

I have a family friend who in the last two years has completely come out as a CD and we sat down last fall and I helped "her" with As I put it Everything Female. We went through clothing, make-up, jewelry issues to talking, walking, etc.


She has been taking hormones for 1.5 years and luckily her job is super supportive so she is able to in her words "be Janet not John".

No, no one knows. Yes, mostly for eye makeup issues. For example, I can't do anything to my eyebrows that would look strange when I'm not Suzy, so the best I can do is cover them. It looks ok from a distance or on a quick glance, but won't stand up to a good look. Sunglasses also help in case I bump into an acquaintance.

 

On the road again...

Planning to motor home travel, and see the country. We could go as father and daughter.

 

1. Well maybe you shouldn't try to cover your eye brows... Some fashion person was on the Today show and said something like, big eye brows are "in". Brooke Shields she used as an example, has always had big eye brows. You could just shape them a little so as not to look out of place with your other life. If nothing else, you can tell everyone that "man-scaping" is big business and your now trending.

2. Is there a big store/mall in your vicinity? You might have some travel, but makeup counters in stores like Macy's, you could try to get some help at a high end makeup counter. This would be a big step/risk, but those women know how to use makeup. Just don't buy everything they suggest. Too pricy and target has the same stuff.

3. Buy some women's magazines, the models will have a lot of styles, night/daytime/casual then you can practice at home.

If you would rather not hear my female tips, just tell me. I'm not trying to be pushy, I just know what my friend Janet is going through and I wish you had some help too.

I appreciate the help, so don't worry about sounding pushy. I've thought about the makeup counter idea, but I think that's a bigger step than I'm ready for. I'm still adjusting to be out in public with people a few feet away. Just paying a cashier at a store is scary enough; I don't see any way i could sit and let someone "work" on my face.

Thanks,NEW, I do appreciate the support. Having an anonymous horny guy wanting me to do him is a compliment I guess, but kind words from someone without such desire are much more believable.

I am getting better at the makeup, even the eyes, so I'll probably just keep working at it for now. If I can tweak the eyebrows a little so that I don't have to cover them up, it would be a big help. My last trip out was another confidence builder--I spent about 20 minutes shopping in the Charlotte Russe store, and none of the other customers or clerks even blinked, even when I was talking to them from just a few feet away. The same thing was true at Payless Shoes. I did get a few smirks from a group of teenage guys as I walked through the mall that bothered me at the time, but, looking back, I think that was more attributable to teenage boy "group" reaction--I got the impression at least one of them liked the way I looked from a distance but discovered I was "older" when he got closer and was embarrassed (at least that's what I'm going with). I do seem to be doing well with older men--I needed to stop at a grocery store on the way home and did notice one guy who "casually" walked away from his wife so he could get behind me and sneak a better look at my ass (by then I had the new tight pink skirt on).

 

OK, I know I said I would sit back, but I have more comments and tips.... Besides as Suzy, you now have the "it's a female's prerogative to change her mind" card.

1. I don't know what Charlotte Russe sells, but obviously you felt somewhat comfortable being in that store. Maybe find stores like that one to "practice" in. The more successes you have the more you will want to push yourself.

2. As far as shoes go, you might find more comfortable shoes at a more expensive store, just get them on sale. There is a joke my friend says about Payless..... Payless=hurt more.

3. I agree with your teenage boy "group" mentality..... These little boys should never affect you. Once they grow up, they might have some potential. Maybe.

You are doing really well. Every trip out will build confidence and make you look and feel even better.
