What specifically would you do to change The present economic system to one that you would like?

How would you deal with dissent?

What is your specific military policy? Would you cut military spending ? What would you do about the threats in Iran and North Korea and Iraq and Syria ?
What Would you do about Isis? How would you deal with Russia and China ?

What is the role of the United States in your new world order ?

What would you do about environmental issues ?

How would you propose to increase the United States GDP and ensure full employment ?

I am open for suggestions since you hate trump so much you must have some really good ideas.

Actually after all of the threads that I have started this is the one that I am probably the most proud of . It seems like the strategy of the left is to simply attack trump at every decision The problem with the strategy of course is that it does not provide any alternatives and even worse it gives trump an excuse to rightly say that the left will attack me no matter what anyway so why should I even listen to them?

So instead of the incessant negativity let's hear some real suggestions and hash them out and see what's practical and what's not practical .

This whole Trump is evil thing is getting old and it's getting old really freaking fast .

This is your chance to throw out what you think are truly practical ideas .

I can tell you that I am open to spectacular ideas and I know they're out there and I really want to hear them .

This is our country so let's work together instead of having this perpetual temper tantrum

How is this helpful or constructive . You're following the negative again. Trump is evil and he says stupid things right? how are you going to be helpful in fixing this process? you're part of the solution you're part of the problem which one are you ?

Of course liberals are attacking Trump. for 8 years conservatives attacked Obama. Before that, liberals were attacking Bush. Before that? Hell idk, I didn't pay attention to politics until I was a teenager. I'm willing to bet it was more of the same, though. Conservatives attacking Clinton. American politics is just two dogs barking at each other through a fence. It's all about "payback". Making the other guy look like an asshole. Deflect from yourself and question the other guys allegiance to his country. Make people think he's not a 'real' American like you or I.

OK assuming that this is all true what do we do now other than to blame the past or the other party whatever the other party was. The blame game is holding us back . Maybe Trump is so horrible that we need to impeach him OK let's talk about that maybe we need to change some other part of the process OK let's talk about that but let's not just sit here and say it's all just so horrible . We are Americans and we are innovators and we can fix so many things so let's fix this and stop blaming everybody else

You've given me the impression (mistaken though, I'm sure, I don't really know what most of your posts are like) that you think that everything would be fine if liberals just sort of went away and let republican conservatives take care of everything. Of course, I could say the same thing about internet liberals as well, except of course they'd want liberals in power and for conservatives to go away... It's strange how alike things are...

I'm been trying to think of an actual response. I've been writing a lot, deleting a lot, writing more, deleting more, and this is about all I have:

I'm not gonna do a thing. Not one single god damn thing. I'm busy enough trying to finish up my schooling and I'm actually excited because I already have a job lined up. And frankly? I'm not interested in solving the countries problems. I don't get the luxury of worrying about stuff like that because after 15 years of struggling with a disease that can return at any moment, without warning, I'm finally healthy enough to start living my life. I don't have the resources act like I can affect change for the country. I'm just gonna have to suck it up and deal with how things are for now.

Attempting anything else would be an exercise in futility.

 

I'm sorry you are suffering with your own apparently physical problems and I understand that more than you know .

I am just so tired of hearing people whine about Trump without any clearer alternatives.

Wish you the best and I wish our country the best and our best is not people sitting around in sackcloth and ashes and shaking uncontrollably about the fact that an election happened and the result was not what they wanted .

You are tired? You, who have been here not even 6 months (assuming of course, that you are not a sock), you are tired of people bashing Trump? Buckle up buster, because this is a song that lasts anywhere from 4 to 8 years. I hope you learn to laugh at the madness of it all. You should have been here to see the things posted about Obama and Bush. Actually, you can pretty much see the same thing here, just replace every instance of Trump with Obama or Bush, every instance of republican with democrat, and conservative with liberal. It's the same old song and dance.

You want change? Start here. Start posting things besides politics. Political threads do nothing but get people emotionally agitated. If you must ask a question, add your own answer to it as well. Do something to uplift the culture of the forum beyond political shitposting. Your cheese and chocolate threads were great. Maybe post more about things you like.

Honestly though? I don't see a single thing changing. Just because you want change doesn't mean other people do. A large number of people seem quite content with how things are.

I am not sure this is a serious thread. These questions are impossible to answer on this forum. For example, "How would you propose to increase the United States GDP and ensure full employment ?" is a question that teams of PhD economists have struggled to answer for over one hundred years! John Maynard Keynes seems to have come closest, but his solution applies only in certain circumstances.

If you want to be taken seriously and elicit a serious discussion, then create a serious thread by posing serious questions.
