    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    I will NEVER fly United after this.

    Haven't read the full thread but I think it's great that the victim is suing.

    I think it's even better that United has issued full refunds to everyone on the plane.

    And it's even better that everyone on the plane is going to sue regardless, for the irreparable trauma of having to watch what happened.

    I hope this CRIPPLES or KILLS United.

    I heard this the other day, and it really set me off. That the flight wasn't even overbooked. That they beat this guy bloody because they had to move some of their own people around.

    He's going to take the shirt, pants, and skivvies off that company, and no mistake. But as others have pointed out, that won't be enough to cripple the company. Not at revenues of $100 mil per day. What is going to cripple them is going to be the PR nightmare.

      Read my first thread. Every airline will put repositioning flight crew ahead of just about everyone else. And they do it as fast for other airline flight crew.
      And it is fully justified.
      What is not justified is this "DR." refusing to get his ass off the plane when ordered. It doesn't matter if it turns out they were wrong, or had alternatives or "coulda woulda shoulda". The flight crew gave him an instruction and he refused to obey. Fuck him.

Once they take your money for a flight they must not be allowed to fly someone else instead. That is the craziest thing ever. The guy was within his rights, just like Rosa Parks... We ended that asinine discrimination we should end this crazy discrimination. It was four hours away, they could have driven those people. They were arrogant sons of bitches and will get what they deserve.

    maybe United owns Republic.....

    I flew United from LA to Dallas about 6 years ago and was very pleasant and 1/2 full plane....

    I nabbed the seat right before take off in front of the emergency exit door and was able to stretch my legs out....

    The attendant shook her head and said no to me but smiled while she did it.....

    I don't fly any more than I have to.

    I will be flying to Ireland this summer. Renting a house there for a few weeks. We will be flying the Irish airline Aer Lingus. Positively felicitous, or as the Irish say, "just lovely."

    I haven't flown with an American company in years. The last time was a trip to Orlando a few years ago (Disney of course), and we felt like veal calves crammed into boxes.

      most seats wont go back and no leg space anymore....
      I am 6 feet - 200 pounds and feel like a packed sardine in the seats.....

      I use to fly to Vegas 4 times a year but have not been in the last 2 years....

    United managed to pull Dr. Dao off the flight against his will, but in all the excitement they forgot to pull his bags.
    Which, by the way is an FAA rule; bags do not fly without their owner on the plane. If the passenger is pulled, the bags are supposed to be pulled.
    Anyway, Dr. Dao's bags made it to Louisville as scheduled.
    And the airline delivered them to his office.
    Dao's attorney bought a new Ferrari today.

    And in yet another fun social media furor that is about to erupt;

    UNITED KICKS COUPLE OFF PLANE HEADED FOR THEIR WEDDING!!!!!!!!​
    It seems this couple had flown from Salt Lake City to Houston, and then they boarded their flight to Costa Rica, you know, so they could get married.
    And United booted them off the flight. Cause, you know, it's United.

    Now the couple says they discovered someone sleeping in their seats in the back of the plane and rather than cause a fuss, moved to another row.
    In Economy Plus. Which people are supposed to pay extra for.
    The flight attendant told them to get their ass back to the cattle car part of the plane., which they say they did.
    And a few moments later a US Marshall showed up and escorted them off the plane.

    The airline, for their part, tell a slightly different story.
    Indeed, the couple had slipped from the cattle car section up to economy plus.
    The flight attendant told them to return to their assigned seats, where, by the way, no sleeping passengers were seen.
    The couple at first asked for a free upgrade, cause, you know, it's their wedding, and then demanded an upgrade, and finally refused to move.
    At which point the flight crew called for the Marshalls.

    So the happy couple got a discounted motel room courtesy of United and they were rebooked for their flight the next day.

    So, XNXX, pick your side and have at it. Demonize, vilify, attack!!
