Political leaders sometimes benefit by encouraging their followers to believe what is not true. Nevertheless, political leaders who act on the basis of what is not true are likely to fail in the end. Like war, political conflicts are unsentimental judges of the difference between truth and falsehood.

It is foolish for Trump to promote unpopular stands on issues as though he has a mandate.

The Federalist has a right wing agenda. The article said that Politifact usually rates Democrats as being more honest than Republicans.

One does not need to access Politifact to be aware of Trump's lies. He said that he saw thousands of Muslims in New Jersey celebrate 9/11. That did not happen.

He said that more people attended his inaugural speech than Obama's first inaugural. That was not true.

He said that millions of illegal immigrants voted illegally for Hillary. That is not true.

He said that Barack Obama as president ordered a wiretap on his penthouse on Trump Tower. That is not true.

That is off of the top of my head. I am sure that I could find more on the internet.

 

Here's the real deal. In the time this thread started Trump fired Comey. He tried to use the deputy AG for the reason, which was basically that Comey was too mean to Hillary. Because it could not be that Trump fired Comey to stop the Russian investigation. Because that would be against the law. And then Trump admitted he fired Comey because of the Russian investigation in a national interview and then for good measure bragged to the Russians he had in the Oval Office that he fired Comey because of the Russian investigation and, "It took a lot of pressure off me."

And let me point out this is just one of these many threads. But just in this one instance what's wrong with this picture?

 

Had you read the article, as I suggested, which you didn't, and I can say that with 100% accuracy.

Had you the article, it would have made the facts evident, as it also made the fact possible for even you to understand the facts.

The article explains how Politifact uses a certain method to come up with ''THEIR'' rating system, it is not a balanced system to say the least.

Furthermore, Politifact is not a credible source, it has been proven time and time again, yet you leftists that use Politifact as a credible source continue to use the non credible source to back up your ''FACTS''

But I'm sure those were "no big thang", as opposed to Trump having open positions, which is a world crisis. But thanks for caring.

 

One of the realities the PR hacks and their many many socks and the Trump supporters are desperately trying to deny is there is now so many revelations and heat on the Trump Russian connections hardly anyone is going to be able to look past it or cover up for Trump. Not the special prosecutor. Not even the DOJ and congress. There is just way too much evidence and the investigations are expanding by the day. With the latest being the Russians have damaging information on Trump's financial dealings they believed they could use to manipulate him. Which could actually be a false flag the Russians deliberately planted with no real truth to it. But it doesn't really matter because now the special prosecutor and congress will have to investigate Trump's financial dealings and his tax returns to see if its true or not. And that will open another Pandora's Box of trouble for Trump and his his family.

 

I wonder if the public will ever get to see all that "way too much evidence." Cuz so far, they've provided as much as you have with your unnamed sources, anonymous sources, unnamed sources who wish to remain anonymous, sources who are pleased to meet you, won't you guess my name, name game sources, "Let's do unnamed"

No the public will never get to see all the evidence if the Republicans in congress get their way. That is why they are trying to handle most all the investigations in the Senate and House intelligence committees instead of forming a select committee like they did in the Benghazi investigations. Because the Intelligence committees can hold closed door hearings and claim everything revealed in them involves classified information and cannot be released to the public. And the same is true with the special prosecutor. His investigation could take years and still at the end of it his report might be classified and/or censored to the point it would reveal nothing.

Which is why the leaks are so important. They do two things. They let the American people know what is trying to be hidden from them. And at the same time put the heat on the special prosecutor, the DOJ, the FBI, and congress to actually investigate instead of trying to cover up for Trump. They cannot afford to try and ignore or cover up things that have that much daylight on them. And anyone who wants to look can already see that happening.

 

A prosecution will be the only evidence that I will accept at this time.

 

The Trump scandals are breaking so fast its hard to remember he admitted he tried to obstruct justice by firing Comey. But the latest reports are that the real one trying to obstruct justice is Jared Kushner because he could feel the FBI breathing down his neck. And while publicly supporting Kushner behind the scenes Trump is actually very upset with him because they thought firing Comey would be no big deal or even a popular move. And instead it not only blew up in their faces they ended up with their worst nightmare; a independent special prosecutor. As well as more and more support for a select congressional committee to run their own investigation.

And it will take time, but eventually Comey will testify to congress and his memos given to them and one way or the other to the American people.

 

Just how many more Obama/Jarret holdover staffers are left to leak the intel/info.?

 

Um, no. The "claims" and "reports" by unnamed sources are breaking so fast...

Maybe the reason they're breaking so fast is because all the previous ones are broken.

While there may have been other presidents that sometimes misspoke or received bad intell and gave twisted facts, there was only one that spoke directly to me and lied outright knowing he was lying.
