  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

The Guardian Saturday 17 November 2007 18.44 EST

A judge in Saudi Arabia has ordered a victim of gang rape to receive 200 lashes - more than double her original sentence for being alone with a man who was not a relative - after she appealed against the lenient sentences given to the men who attacked her. He also jailed her for six months.

The 21-year-old woman, who was 19 at the time of the attack and is known by the Saudi media as "the girl from Qatif", was raped 14 times by a gang of seven.

200 lashes isn't so bad as long as they spread them around. 50 to her bottom, 40 to each bubby, 30 to her belly, 50 to her cunty... wait maybe that's too many... well some for good luck... and plus the executioners can take breaks to feel deep inside all her holes, and also the boys in the audience should all have a try with the whip too, don't push and shove, everyone gets a chance... have to teach all the little imams how to treat a girl...

I guess if a news story is over 24 hours old, it should not have a place on this site.

Nothing has changed since this happened. The rape victim sentenced to 200 lashes and six months in jail is more fortunate than many Arab rape victims who are murdered by their male relatives.

    1. chris4sylvia
We all know that Saudi Arabia has some of the most out-dated and draconian laws, BUT people know these laws and IF they break them then they must accept the punishment.
The fact that she is a rape victim should NOT detract from the simple fact that she BROKE the law.
Ignorance of any countries laws is NOT a defence, and should not be used by anyone. Including sanctimonious people out to make a name for themselves by NOT focusing on the facts, but just using little snippets for shock value.

Sentences of a hundred lashes usually mean death, if not immediately, shortly thereafter.
200 will kill her slowly, painfully, etc. I hate those barbarians and I will not live anywhere
    near them.

It is strange how so called civilized people look the other way when it comes to barbaric behavior by Muslim countries. Not only by their own people, but other countries as well. Look at the outrage by journalists at Donald Trump's suggestion we temporarily suspend Muslims from entering the country. Imagine for a moment if Trump agreed with 200 lashes for rape victims. Now that would make news. Yet these same journalists ignore the atrocities by Muslim governments. Strange indeed. Genocide of Christians by Muslims and no outrage by Barrack Obama. Very strange indeed. Lip service at the most by this administration.

Strange how the O.P. is misleading everyone and misinterpreting the facts, yet again.
IF anyone has read the linked news article, the punishment of 200 lashes was given because she was alone with a man she was not related to, and this is against Saudi law.
Sure it certainly looks like she had her original punishment increased because she appealed against the sentences of her rapists, but she BROKE the law and got caught.
So, regardless of the fact she was a rape victim, she BROKE Saudi law and got punished for it.

There's a difference between a story that is 24 hours old and one that is 9 years old, and has not had anything new added to it since.

I dislike the vile regime that exists in Saudi Arabia, and find it loathsome that we, the so-called Western Powers, tolerate them - we are so enslaved by their oil (and consequent wealth) that we are forced to regard them as allies. Our nations have instigated forced military regime change in nations whose record on human rights is nowhere near as bad as Saudi's.
    However, if DL had wanted to make a valid point, then why didn't he use more recent and relevant articles, such as these;

    https://www.amnesty.org/en/countries/middle-east-and-north-africa/saudi-arabia/report-saudi-arabia/
    Saudi Arabia 2015/2016
The government continued to severely restrict freedoms of expression, association and assembly. The authorities arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned human rights defenders and government critics, including under the 2014 anti-terror law, often after unfair trials. Some of those detained were prisoners of conscience. Torture and other ill-treatment of detainees remained common. Unfair trials continued before the Specialized Criminal Court (SCC), a special court for hearing terrorism-related cases, with some trials resulting in death sentences. Discrimination against the Shi’a minority remained entrenched; some Shi’a activists were on death row awaiting execution. Women faced discrimination in law and in practice and were inadequately protected against sexual and other violence. Thousands of migrants were summarily expelled, many to countries where they were at risk of serious human rights violations. The authorities used the death penalty extensively and carried out more than 150 executions.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...human-rights-abuses-10-examples-a6794576.html
10 examples of human rights abuses by Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia remains a member of the United Nations human rights council despite its poor record, when 47 people were executed in one day. The country remains a member of the United Nations human rights council despite making extensive use of the death penalty and carrying out dozens of public executions, women face discrimination both in law and practice and those from the Shia minority have limited access to government services and employment.
Authorities have also detained and deported thousands of foreign migrants to free up jobs for citizens. The Interior Ministry has stated that authorities have expelled over 370,000 foreign migrants in the preceding five months and that 18,000 others are currently in detention.
Thousands of workers were returned to states where they were at risk of human rights abuses. Many reported that prior to their deportation they had been packed into severely overcrowded detention facilities, where they received little food and water and were abused by guards.

Mainly because he cannot mislead people and misinterpret the facts with the articles you have highlighted, as they do not have the instant shock appeal.

I agree that Saudi Arabia have some of the most out-dated and draconian laws of ANY supposedly civilised country, and they have a complete disregard for basic human rights. But these laws have been in place for many years and people know the penalties that can happen IF they break any of the laws.

It certainly looks like the law-makers cannot accept that civilised society has advanced, and the chances are they will continue to deny the changes for as long as countries need their oil.

I agree with you, it is their laws and customs, and it's their choice, but I dislike their ways. I dislike even more the fact that Saudi is not penalized in any way internationally. Many nations have been ostracised for the same, or less. Until the 1990's South Africa had restrictions placed upon it both in trade and sport due to Apartheid. Saudi is arguably worse, yet they get away with it.

I don't have much sympathy for Westerners who fall foul of their laws, however - if you go to a country you must obey that country's laws. I would not go there because I know I could be imprisoned for such heinous crimes as driving a car, wearing a bikini or going out by myself.

Maybe it is because Saudi Arabia, apart from their oil, does not feature much on the world stage, that has allowed these human rights abuses to continue.
The restrictions placed on South Africa not only affected their sport but also their entertainment too, the Sun City resort was a major news story during the Apartheid times.

Once that oil dries up, Western countries amonfg others in the world will have no use for them. Then they'll revert back 2000 years into the past.
