First off, let me say that I ran a search for Shaving AND tips and nothing came up, so unless you have a thread to link me to then shh on that matter.


Now, I am not a fan of body hair...well, lets say I hate body hair, aside from facial hair. I've been shaving my body hair for around four or five months, I only do certain parts once a week and others every other day.

I know conditioner makes it more smooth (<3<3 that) but I am looking for some tips on what could make it easier, or what types of razors would be best. I don't know if female razors are better for shaving then the ones I use, so yeah. Tips please? It'd be much appreciated.

 

Gillette Fusion is what i use, its got 4 blades, a smooth rubber ribbed part so you cant put too much pressure on it, the tiny soap bar on it, looks cool, and on the other side it has a single razor to get those hard to reach places

 

Is it easy to get the hair that catches in the blade out? I've got problems with that if it is a bit to long, just catching and staying there >_<

 

I shave in the shower, when some hair gets jammed in my razor, I just hit it with the water pic shower head. I use the setting that has a hard driving blast of water. I will also gently drag a finger across the blades to remove the hair. I know that this may shorten the life of the razor, oh well.

 

I've tried the shower head spraying it thing, but my shower head has a weak spray so that doesn't work. I sometimes drag my finger across it too, but that results in tiny cuts, not bleeding cuts...but little bits of skin cut up

I'm considering trying some Nair >_>

 

I shower daily and shave almost everytime I shower with just Bic or Gilette razor.
Once every so many months I used Nair for men and pack it on my balls and under my legs.
No side effects just Nair's nasty smell while you're waiting, which is about 9 mins.

I also don't really suffer an itching problem either
as others had mentioned.

Nair yuck! Can't stand the smell of that! Does the men's one smell nicer than the ladies' one???

Apart from what already mentioned, full body wax or laser hair removal are options too.

 

just turn the blade so it looks like a vent and it goes right through, theres no back on the blades so you can run water right through the blades and wash anything out in an instant, no work needed

 

If water doesn't get all the hair out between the razors I find using a towel or wash cloth works great. Just move the razor sideways across the towel and the small fibers that stick up wiill slide between the blades and jar hair loose thats stuck. It sometimes removes a fiber or two, but if you are gentle and side to side it wont ruin the towel.
