I have been oversexed most of my life and I am now 41 years old. Sometimes I need men and sometimes I need women. Are men attracted to or repelled by women with very strong libidos?

well it's been my experience that they're attracted to them but then when you get into a relationship with them after about 5 months they ask you if you feel the entire relationship is based on sex because you want to have it all the time...sorry for the rant but it's happened to me a couple of times

We're attracted to women with active libidos for sex. Not for long relationships.

Well, I'm delving into really offensive stereotyping, so please nobody freak out on me, but here goes.

Slutty girls are fun to have sex with. But if you get into a relationship with a really slutty girl, there are two things you fear: 1) You're never enough to please her (this is a less common fear but more true in real life) and 2) She'll end up cheating on you (this is less true, I'd hope, but far more pervasive as a stereotype).

I had a friend who I knew for over two years, and he was going through a painful divorce the whole time. It turns out he got the girl pregnant on their first date, and as a good Catholic guy he married her as soon as he found out she was pregnant. Well three years and two beautiful daughters later, he found out she was cheating on him.

I find it very odd. Men bitch and moan when the sex goes out of a marriage, but they don't want to marry the woman who'd like to fuck their brains out regularly.

They want a woman to be aggressive enough to make the first move so it's not always them, but don't do it too often ... you ho!

I'm happy being a lady in public and a ho in the bedroom. If I can't find a man who considers me relationship material, then I guess I'd better find some more toys! And stock in Duracell.

I guess that at the end of the day, men are just as fickle and hard to understand as we are, bnthrdntht.

For me, it's because if you get together with a slutty girl, generally the sex keeps it going for awhile, but outside of that you have nothing really incommon with her, and great sex can't keep a relationship together, you have to have something beyond it, something emotional. Generally slutty girls, don't have many things in common with me. *shrugs*

 

I guess I was focusing on the 'strong libido' as opposed to the 'slutty' adjective.

So is slutty - the girl you picked up in a bar after she's just blown someone in the bathroom, or can she also be the one who slept with you on the 3rd date and ever since, jumps your bones at the drop of a hat?

 

Depends if I like her personally. The libido is the cherry on the cake.

Sometimes if women come on too strong I wonder if there's something wrong with them, like STD's, or if they are, *gasp* man-hunter (Than you really have to be careful.)

First thing that bothers me now - If she's that ready to have me so quickly, how many others? And if they were willing to risk it with her, how many others have they risked it with? :shock:

I may be a nympho, but I'm not a slut, there *is* a difference! I love sex, and I get it whenever I can, so yes, I have a very high sex drive, and in my experience, guys are attracted to that. But for thoes who said that they arn't good for long term relationships, mine seems to be going very well. We do have a lot more in common then just sex, and that's what a relationship should be built on. But then again, if you are talking about a sleeping-with-every-guy type slut then that's different..

 

I think we're talking about two very different things, here. Clearly, men are attracted to slutty women -- all you have to do is watch an hour or two of pornography, which, after all, is designed to appeal to males, to satisfy you on that point.

The question of what men want in a long-term relationship or marriage is entirely a different one. As some others have said, I tend to be a total slut in bed. But that's not my entire being, and in a long-term relationship, you have to dig a lot deeper into each other than that. I don't think any marriage would last long if it consisted solely of steamy, pulsating sex. Mine certainly wouldn't have.
