I apologize if I offended you or any of them I have been very distant to the site the last few weeks trying to get better. been quite a while since I felt all that well.       I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been well, and I hope you are doing better. You have nothing to apologize for. You did not "lessen" the work they did, but showed your appreciation for it. For all you or I know, they may want to do it again, if for no reason other than to improve the site we all share. I very much dislike the way they were treated, and know what MY choice might be, but it would be entirely their call.

    I find this hard to believe. The domain alone did cost a fuckton of money, and paying the staff and servers certainly isn't cheap either.

    I think they're trying to do the right thing while at the same time staying legally in the clear. Having underage content on the site surely made the owners nervous; it definitely would make me nervous. And let's be honest, the story site had gotten to a point where underage and incest was almost ALL there was. And it didn't bring out the best in people, let's just put it like that.

    The current setup isn't ideal, but it's a step in a better direction. It could use a lot more volunteers to speed up the story approval process, or overall moderation of the site, just like most other sex story sites, but I find it hard to imagine that management wants to purposefully destroy a project they're pouring HUGE sums of money into.

      The least the owner should do is advertise the video side, to attract people from the Sex Stories and Forum sides there, which would attract more side-bar advertisers for his income site. Just saying. I'm ready to admit I'm off the track, so please don't bash me. :)

      You're right, I've wondered about that too. In the past, at least there was a link to the pic and video sites at the top of this forum, which now also seems to be gone. So, it makes no sense from a financial perspective, which leads me to conclude that this is a labour of love. As such, though, it's sorely neglected.

      Well, the other question then would be: Are any other story sites better managed? And after I've been to the majority of the largest ones, I'd have to say "not really". They might have the staff, but they're lacking in other departments, like fucked-up voting systems (if you think the sexstories.com one is bad, you haven't seen the mathematical abominations of SOL), lack of exposure, asinine rules, in-group fighting, or the lack of really basic functionalities, like search, categories, etc.

    Well I'm the one with bad news today. My ex-wife and I have remained good friends, before, during and after the divorce. I'm not going to elaborate on the reason she wanted it. Suffice it to say it was of a financial problem. In the past year, she has gone through a series of cancer from which she was in remission. The latest from which she supposedly recovered was a brain cancer. For the past 4 to 5 days, I've tried reaching her without success. Today, I called the hospital and was told she wasn't there. I tried to call the home where she lives, but being a Sunday, no one answered the phone, hitting the answering machine every time.

    I call the cops. They went to her door and she wouldn't answer. They got the janitor to open for them. She was sitting in her living room, wouldn't answer their question, just like she wouldn't answer the phone or return messages. They called me back to tell me all this and that they decided to call an ambulance to bring her to the hospital.

    Why, some would ask, did I worry so much? I never stopped loving her, even after we were divorced, she had two different boyfriends (not at the same time), and I accepted the two and one has even become a good friend. I sponsor him through our support group. Love is not to cling to someone, love is the let go and respect a love one's decision. Love is not hating, threatening or possessing the one we love. I hurt every day from not being with her, but we love each other enough to remain the best of friends. We still support each other in many aspects.

    Now I'm afraid to lose this wonderful person.

    I'm sorry to inform you of my sorrow, but you are the few to which I feel close enough to dump this to. I had to get it off my chest.

      I certainly can't "like" this post, but I understand your position. I can only take my ex-wife in small doses these days, but we DID share thirty years. When she was very ill soon after she announced her infidelity and wish for me to leave, I was more concerned about her well-being than my hurt. You can stop liking someone, but memories of love run deep.

      Thank you @wantsomefun. We never were crossed with each other. Her reason for wanting the divorce was very legitimate. I can't elaborate on this. Like I said, it was no fault from her or me. I never stopped loving her. He she as always loved me, that's what she told me, and I believe her. Her actions spoke louder then her words.
