This is what America should do RIGHT NOW....first, pull all the money that we JUST FREELY give all these countries that publicly denounce us (some for good reason, some just to hop on the bandwagon) €this is OUR money that is taken from our hard work that is given to illegal immigrants here in the first place not to mention, every time there's a monsoon or earthquake, GUESS WHAT? The USA is always first and foremost with medical aid and food and clothes and shit.....take that away from everyone (good luck trying to get any charity out of China and Russia for humanitarian reasons!!)...we mind our own business and let the rest of the world drown in disease, hunger, & pestilence....the cost to us Americans? Higher gas prices for a while until we open up all the oil that is in our territory.....higher gas prices a birch? Yep, but we survived after the gas shortage under the Carter Administration and we can do it again...fuck everyone else, we'll take care of our own....

I agree. The civil war is not our fault. It is not our responsibility to do anything about it. In the Arab world and Iran there are no good guys. There are bad guys who conveniently like to fight each other. I would rather they fight each other than us and/or Israel.

 

Given the recent events concerning the Chump's lawyer I would imagine that an attack on Syria is imminent in order to distract Joe Public from events at home!

During the war between Iran and Iraq the United States supported the losing side. When it began to win, we shifted our support to the other side. We did that in order to prolong the war as long as possible.

A foreign policy like that is not something we would want to announce in a speech before the United Nations. It was a clever policy that weakened two dangerous countries.

I want the civil war in Syria to continue indefinitely. When it ends I want Assad to survive as the hated dictator of a landscape of bombed cities and skeletons. I do not want the Arabs to have good governments and popular leaders.

In the Arab world I fear the emergence of a charismatic political leader who is also a military genius. At various times men like that have appeared and changed the course of history. I am thinking of King David of the Israelites, Cyrus the Great of the Persians, Alexander the Great of the Macedonians, Genghis Khan of the Mongols, and Napoleon Bonaparte.

A dictator like Assad or Saddam would recognize the presence of a man like that and have him killed.

If the United States committed a war crime I would regret it. If an enemy of the United States committed a war crime I would be angry about it.

Assad is not our enemy unless we make him one. He poses no threat to us. We should leave him alone. The only difference I can see between Assad and his opposition is that he protects religious minorities. If the opposition wins it probably will not.

 

It would be much easier to just isolate Syria, as we have done with North Korea.

 

Did anyone read the latest on the “white helmets”? That they paid a man and his son with food to pretend they were gassed.
