Better Approach

OK, now that you say you're 18. I assume you do things like go to movies,eat out at restaurants (wanted to clarify that), so when she is feeling very comfortable with you, just say: I like (or love if you really do, but DONT lie) you very much, I would like you to be my girlfriend, and we can be exclusive. and if she says YES give her a very sweet kiss. If she says NO, then you say, well, would you think about it, and maybe later, I really do (like) (love) you.

I totally know where you are coming from. I was there too. I kept diaries from 18 to today. Believe it or not, I can get sexually excited reading my own diaries even thought such things are coded with symbols. The memories fill them out.

Hope this works out for you. I hate to see the 35-45year olds I know treating marriage and nonmarriage partnerships like high school dating. It seems they change partners every year and then may cheat on both of them with the new one. I was never like that, but it seems all to common today.

Four steps to asking someone out, these have always worked for me so I don't see why that shouldn't for you.

Step 1: Wait for things in the relationship to be going pretty good, this takes work and patience. Sometimes a lot of money too---dinner and the movies can add up quick.

Step 2: Meet her folks, talk to them, if you're in with her folks they'll talk to her about how "neat" her boyfriend is. If she has siblings, especially older ones...dude, get out your ass kissing face, older siblings can influence alot.

Step 3: Wait for a good time to ask her, probably when you're alone, she's in a romantic mood and realitively happy. (Don't try doing this while her grandfather is dying of cancer in the next room...serously...)

Step 4: Ask her how the fam is doing, remark about how well things are going, and then ask her if she wants to take things to the next level. And then always end with a snappy joke. Humor is ALWAYS good. Something like "Besides if I was your boyfriend I could stop prentending to have had a date too when you tell me about yours"...something to that effect.

If she says no....then either you flubbed one of the steps. Or she's just not that into you and you NEED TO MOVE ON!

i dont know if it is necessary for her to state, yes i am your gf. but ask her out, and do it again, and again. at a certain point it is going to be obvious that you two are bf and gf. thats the way i always did it.

If you know her, just say it. If you don't know her, GET to know her. And then, just say it.
