i agree if you dont like it take a train, bus or boat and if your going to winge its going to take longer then go through a scanner ... all of us here belong to a porn forum so we shouldnt be so prudish about people seeing a x ray of ourselves

 

Pretty soon we will have to be back-scanned to get on a bus or a train.I don`t think it as much about modesty as it is about being forced to do things.

 

Profiling

So far as I can tell the TSA is not suppose to profile even though all of the plots against our security appear to be carried out by certain ethnic factions of a certain relative age group. I'm not terribly concerned about an elderly Kansas farmer and his wife blowing up my plane. For that matter a middle age guy wearing a urine bag shouldn't need a pat down! My solution is profile ..profile ..profile!!, and stop wasting our time and resources training people to strip searching granny because you afraid of being unfair!!!

 

The federal government is totally against profiling, but a private security firm is permitted to profile, but they have to be cautious about it due to the ACLU.

 

but thats the thing noone is forcing you to fly and if you are being forced to fly you can opt for a pat down yes there is a longer line but noone is forcing you to do it

plus you can say it will happen on buses or trains but you do not know that for sure untill it is passed into law so people should stop belonging to the what if/soon brigade

 

Flying is a convenience, conveniences are part of our liberties, the federal government is a hindrance on our liberties. Profiling is not a hindrance to the general public, just to the profilees.

 

but your not entitled to convieniences yes there nice hell they are convieniant to us but you are not entitled to them and profile is against the law technically so yes that is a hinderance to the general public because its unlawfull ( and if you were one of the profilees youd be up in arms )

I was in an airport in Texas, an two young middle eastern gentlemen were ''picked randomly for a more thorough and enhanced search'' , I thought that to be ironic, but effective.

Most assuredly. Though as I have pointed out, the opposite is true, and inconveniencing everyone has the same result of creating bad blood.

My main problem is this. If safety is our only priority, then whether or not it hurts peoples feelings to "segregate" them, should not matter. It would probably piss your friends off to be searched when no one else on the plane was, but would it cause your friends to become terrorists? While profiling may upset non-violent citizens with middle eastern connections, those are not the people we are worried about. Terrorists hate us already and will continue to do so, and therefore a terrorist is not going to become "more" of a terrorist because he is patted down. And so it is much more than a zero sum game. It will upset peaceful Muslims, but they are peaceful and so their anger will be harmless. It will upset terrorists, but they are already upset and so at least it will make things harder on them.

Lastly, this goes back to what I hear so often. Why are peaceful Muslims so hesitant to stand up to violent Muslims? We need to see more of it. And were profiling to take place, why is your assumption that peaceful Muslims would blame the American people? When the obvious direction of their anger should be towards the violent Muslims who make such actions necessary?

But what makes you such a dangerous and deadly fool is you think there are no white terrorists and so you're going to stand there and smile and watch one walk on the plane with explosives.

As it is now if you want to move a shit load of drugs in the US all you have to do is use people and vehicles that DO NOT MEET THE NORMAL PROFILE. The biggest pot dealer I know just retired after more than 20 years because he finally got too old to drive. But before that we could drive anywhere he wanted with a pickup load of pot and never get a second look from the police.

 

I once drove around with two bags full of cannabis leaves (to make butter for cooking "space cookies") - across the center of the city, carried them in the middle of the working day from the parking lot to my flat, which is in the centre, right across the central post office and a few banks, and since I don't fit any criminal profile - and look rather friendly and nice - I have never ever been checked by the police, not on that occasion, not ever - and even when they check routinely the traffic and they stop me, they do it quickly and don't ask much further when I smile at them politely, hehehehehe... I could be such a succesful terrorist!

Segregation of any kind is wrong and futile!

Your idea that white people can be terrorists too has no meaning. Anyone of any race can be a psycho. So therefore we should require everyone to walk around naked and to be scanned before they do so much as get on a bus, correct? The difference is obviously that we know where nearly all modern terrorists come from and so we should use this knowledge. Isn't using knowledge the logical thing to do? If you think we should search everyone all the time because technically "anyone" could be a terrorist, then why stop at the airports? Anyone could be a terrorist anywhere, correct?

I do not think there are no white terrorists, but I think it is a logical fact that nearly all terrorists targeting the U.S. are of middle eastern descent and therefore that is who we should watch more closely. Sorry if logic frightens you. Maybe you would spend your resources monitoring your white neighbor because he's old and white, and therefore he MUST be evil! But we just caught yet another Muslim terrorist who was planning to kill thousands of innocent people. Thank god that everyone in our government does not share your stupidity, or those agents would have been assigned to watch rich white men at the country club while Umar Sadar blew off his bomb.
