The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

In Turkey, from city to city, there is great climate difference. You can find every kind of climate in Turkey. Both very cold and hot.

Ardahan is the coldest city in winter in Turkey ( It is actually the coldest city all the year, inculuding Summer), it is the central district of Ardahan Province. There is actually colder district in Ardahan Province called Göle but climate datas are only made for the central district of Provinces, unfortunately. So we have to go with the central district of Ardahan Province.

The coldest month in Ardahan is January.
Average low temperature in January is -17*C. Ardahan is colder than cities like Ottawa ( Canada), Nuuk ( Greenland), Moscow ( Russia). What makes Ardahan very cold in winter is the high elevation and harsh continental climate. The elevation of Ardahan is 1826 metres. Cities in Eastern Turkey has very high elevation. There are districts above the elevation of 2000 metres in Eastern Turkey but we are talking about the central district of a Province right now. Some people on this porn forum don't seem to know how elevation can effect the climate to be so fucking cold in winter. Latitude is not everything.

    To see Ardahan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardahan

The lowest temperature recorded in Turkey is -46.4*C, which was recorded in ''Çaldıran'' district in ''Van'' Province, recorded on 9th January 1990. The elevation of the district is 2055 metres. It is written in Turkish State Meteorological Service. Too see it, you need to click this link https://www.mgm.gov.tr/genel/sss.aspx?s=sicaklikenleri2

The snowiest city in Turkey is Bitlis. Bitlis is so much warmer than Ardahan in winter but the perception in Bitlis is very, very, very, very high in winter. That is why Bitlis is the snowiest city in Turkey even if it is so much warmer than Ardahan in winter.

The highest amounth of Snow Thickness recorded in city center of Bitlis is 343 cm ( 135 inches), recorded in 30th January 1968.

To see how much perception Bitlis has in winter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitlis

The hottest city in summer according to average highs is Batman in Turkey.
Average high temperature in July and August is 39.4*C. Recorded high temperature is 48.8*C, which is also the highest temperature recorded in Turkey

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman,_Turkey

The warmest in winter is Mersin in Turkey. It is very, very warm in winter. Mersin is at sea level. To see the climate of Mersin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersin

There is a great climate difference from city to city.

Are we talking oven cooked vs. deep fried Turkey? They both achieve the same climate, the deep fried just gets there quicker.

You were in the last 'climate in Turkey' thread too, that fell off the page for lack of interest. How many of them are you going to start?

This is the last one. I am talking about the geography of Turkey. The climate difference from city to city. Coldest city in winter, Snowiest city in winter, Hottest city in summer, Warmest city in winter. The great climate difference from city to city in Turkey. Geography of Turkey. And I am mentioning how elevation can effect the climate to be very cold in winter since people on this porn forum seem very uneducated about how elevation effect the climate. They think latitude is everything.

There are colder districts but climate datas are only made for the central district of Provinces unfortunately. That is why I wrote Ardahan as the coldest city because it is the central district of Ardahan Province. Since there is climate data for it, you can look at it.

If you ask me how I know Göle district in Ardahan Province is colder than the central district of Ardahan Province, I've been looking at the temperatures from Turkish State Meteorological Service since the DECEMBER, and it always shows Göle colder than the central distirct of Ardahan Province. That is how I know Göle is colder than central district of Ardahan Province but climates datas are made for central district of Provinces only. Climate data shows the central district of Ardahan Province.

The temperature was dropping to below -30*C in January and early February in Göle.

The only way I'd eat a turkey is fried. Baked is gross. Otherwise, we couldn't care less about turkey.

    Oh, unless it's Wild Turkey.

I hope to visit there someday. I watch some travel shows and Istanbul always looks like a great place to be. Some of the cruise lines were bypassing Istanbul because of safety concerns but I believe things are back to normal as far as that goes.
    Is there unrest?

Dude, they have some killer hashish there. When I was in Greece we took a sloop across to Turkey and I got an ounce of hash for two cartons of Marlboro's. The smokes cost me 4.50 each at the time. I didn't want to see hash again for years after that one lol.

Turkey's president accuses Germany of supporting group blamed for failed coup
The president's comments are likely to aggravate already strained relations between the 2 countries
Thomson Reuters Posted: Mar 19, 2017 1:29 PM ET Last Updated: Mar 19, 2017 1:29 PM ET

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday accused Germany of supported the a U.S.-based Muslim cleric who Erdogan blames for a failed coup.

Turkey is accusing Germany of supporting the network of a U.S.-based Muslim cleric it blames for last year's attempted coup — comments likely to aggravate a diplomatic feud between the two countries.

Germany and Turkey have been locked in a deepening row after Berlin banned some Turkish ministers from speaking to rallies of expatriate Turks ahead of a referendum next month, citing public safety concerns.

On Saturday, German news magazine Der Spiegel published an interview with the head of Germany's BND foreign intelligence agency, who said Ankara had failed to convince it that the cleric Fethullah Gulen was responsible for the coup attempt.

"Turkey has tried to convince us of that at every level but so far it has not succeeded," Bruno Kahl was quoted as saying.

President Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman responded Sunday, saying Kahl's comments were proof Germany was supporting Gulen's network, which Ankara refers to as the "Gulenist Terrorist Organisation" or "FETO."

"It's an effort to invalidate all the information we have given them on FETO. It's a sign of their support for FETO," Ibrahim Kalin told broadcaster CNN Turk. "Why are they protecting them? Because these are useful instruments for Germany to use against Turkey."

Germany hasn't responded to the comments.

Ankara blames Gulen's network of followers in the military for a failed coup attempt in July, when a group of rogue soldiers seized tanks, helicopters and war planes to attack parliament and attempt to overthrow the government. More than 240 people were killed.
