In so much that I don't specifically know what I have to lose.
My Body would be worth quite a lot of money but obviously that would not benefit me.

 

It is a simple question that you are inexplicably making difficult

 

Imagine that the authorities could do nothing to you because your life is lost all meaning and value.

What would you do ?

 

I would kill myself in a way that would not damage any of my organs so they could be harvested so that people could benefit from my existence.

If someone is a loser and gives up on life they aren't "living" but just existing and that is a deadend. Put the big boy pants on and take the world by the nuts lol. You reap what you sow but if one does get in that rut, it can be hard to shake so you have to take baby steps and set realistic shortterm goals and as you achieve one you can move to the next one and soon things will start to fall into place.

If one's goal in life is to win the lottery, you may as well shoot yourself now and save the grief.

I saw an amazing Sunrise the other day and the thought came to me that it has risen Billions of times before I was born and will rise Billions of times after I am dead.

Nothing to lose at the race track is very different then nothign to lose with the s/o and so forth. Material things verses heart matters and enjoyment etc are all measured differently. Depending on preferences it is easier to gamble on certain things verses other. Even with the same matter you decide you have nothing to lose variables can be taken into account, for instance I might be willing to lose friend A but not friend B.

Everyone has something to lose and everyone has something to gain.

 

That is only a thought and a thought can be changed. I am sure once you were behind bars you would feel different. Well if you had any marbles about you that is. It is up to you to not feel sorry for yourself and do something about it and make better choices.

I think this an interesting question, both in it's simplistic form and in the more complex multifaceted form outline by BrandiD.

One idea: if I was in a place where I thought I could no longer feel shame, I would find an orgy and join, and I would hope not care if I was the least attractive person there.

If I could no longer worry about being a failure, and perhaps going completely broke, I would quit work and bum around the world until the money ran out, and then just not care what happened.

In the end, all this question is about is can any of us overcome our fears and excuses to live our lives the way we wanted to all along -- to be authentic to ourselves, isn't it.
