I just noticed that your processes went from 50 to 55 with that spike and that is never a good thing unless you are loading stuff you want , which I can see is not the case here.

I asked a question earlier but got no reply and yesterday stumbled onto the answer myself. Just click the time or date under the username of the last poster to get straight to the last post in the thread or close to the reply box if you just want to make a post. I was going to the last page and scrolling down before I found this.

You can also click that little dealy between the Avatar and thread title to get to the last post you read if there have been new posts since you were last on it.

 

If someone is "following" you, do they get alerts evey time that person makes a post or comment ?????

Just because these 21 refer to you as "stalker" instead of "follower", doesn't mean you're not following them (technically.)

 

It was called something else before the changes, "friend" I think. You also needed to "request" that friendship and that person was free to either "accept or "decline" your request.

When they added the "follow" option it automatically renamed them as "following". Before the changes adding a member was simply a way of showing them that you like/appreciate them and there was no "alert" benefit to having them on your list.

Now a person can simply click follow and it is automatic as far as I know because I keep getting alerts telling me that (insert username here) is now following you. Short of "ignoring" them, you don't have a say in the matter.

I have never hit the follow button for any member on here but technically I stand corrected but not by my doing ...

 

Under the old site format when someone made a post on your page you had to go to their page to reply and more than once did I reply to a post with a comment but forgot to switch to the senders page, which meant that unless that person visited your page again, they would never see or know there was a reply. That is where the alert feature has somewhat of a constructive use now.

 

Can you make Richief's "Rule's" post an individual sticky thread for all to clearly see ... ???

This!!! From the one who has stated on many occasions that if he owned the site, just about everyone who didn't agree with him would be summarily booted off the membership rolls.

 

The forum home page still has posts from nine months ago. Still not fixed.

 

LMFAO does any of this really matter? No. Will the people who have posted for years on this board keep posting? Yes.
