Considering people can still post on the thread, you can actually see that there is nothing underhand going on.

Awww, fuck, it's still open! I was so happy when I came on around midnight and saw that it had been locked.

So, it appears that either Az was just fucking around, or he decided that keeping the other thread open really was the best thing. Thus, this thread may now die gracefully.

All I can tell you is it is open now. If AZ locked it, then AZ should own up - but that's doubtful.

The subject is dead, the two people it was about are gone!!! If you want to debate whether Deidre was real or not it doesn't matter, she is gone!!!

Even with that thread locked it still exists you can read it a million times if you like!!!! Start a new thread if you need to but that thread should be locked, it's old news!!!

 

I think it's a built in feature of being a mod on the vBulletin system. Most forums are much more tightly regulated than this one. But nophest told us that we weren't supposed to ever lock threads. If it's spam, it's just moved.

I feel what happened to you was wrong, yet I do feel what is the point of having moderation if they have thier hands tied. They are the ones that need to make the tough desicions that keep the forum moving forward.

 

So we can keep talking about the old news, or whatever goes on in that thread, but we have to start a new thread to talk about it instead of just using the existing one. Yeah, that makes a whole lotta sense.
