So...a couple months ago I met a girl, the daughter of my mother's friend and also something of friend of mine, I had heard her mother talk about her all the time but never thought that much of it because I had never seen her as she had been in college, but when we finally met I was blown away. We got to know each other later at a going away party for a mutual friend and talked for about an hour until the end of the party and really connected. Sadly, we didn't have any time after that night because she had to go back and finish her last semester of college. Anyways, some background before I move on, I am an artist, I work with clay, a junior in high school, and I would like to think I'm not such a bad looking chap. Over the next months or so I had not seen her much, but she landed a great job opportunity, a great apartment, and a trip was planned to visit the aforementioned friend who moved off and she was invited to go along. During the trip, I was a little dpressed over something I won't get into, but everytime I seemed to get a little down she came over cheered me up, it never failed, we had a great time, and we spent one night together where we just talked for while and ended up making out in the cozy communal living room of the bed and breakfast we stayed in (we were alone itd be a little odd if everyone else was there as her mother was along for the trip as well). But the next day we were back in our hometown and spent a lot of time together before she had to go back to finish school. In this time we had some pretty intimate moments but at the end of it all, she seemed put off by the whole age thing, well not neccesarily age but situation. I understand her concerns, I can't ignore it either. But, she's now moved back to town for good and we've started seeing each other when we can, but I just don't know where we are going. I'm amazed by this girl and I feel myself falling for her, hard; I gotta say if my only option with her is to be friends, I'll take it, but I'm gonna try damn hard to take our relationship deeper.

Don't ask me why I came here to voice this, the community here just seems really, really cool I feel strangely comfortable, and it just feels good to think this thing out. I hope you enjoyed my rambling, so, please, give me your opinions, your advice, your anything.

I'd say enjoy every minute you can, with her and the time you're here. The age thing can be a problem so read this quickly, and respond to her the same way.

 

Sorry, I should have explained that one in more detail, I started a home schooling program in my freshman year which took a while to start up, so I started that year in about december which really threw things off, and when I started my work in clay, school really slowed down for me, just not really my main goal atm, but I'm making what could be a living as an artist, still dependant, not on my own yet, but I'm determined to go to college. Sorry for the confusion.

seems like quite the situation, iron although you may be younger than this girl, its only an obstacle if you two see as one. look, you seem to have a pretty good relationship with this girl, why dont you just talk to her?

she obviously has feelings for you, at least to some degree. but you're right, it comes down to either being her friend (bleh), or getting serious with her. if i were you i'd have her over, go out, or whatever you have to do to put yourself in an intimate situation where it's just her and you. when you're together, alone, ask her if she wants anything more than just a good friendship.
