Just be yourself, and don't change anything about yourself for anybody else, don't think differently for anybody else, don't act differently for anybody else, don't feel differently for anybody else, don't do anything differently for anybody else. Otherwise, you're always going to be whatever everybody else decides you are, and you're going to keep causing yourself unnecessary stress and pain and everything else, because you don't HAVE to live up to anybody's expectations but your own. You're an adult, your life is what you make it and you can be whoever and whatever you want to be.

no, it's just that mike keeps telling me everyday "you're gorgeous, you're going to leave me for someone else." and it's like omg, stop it! i'm not a slut, i think he's very attractive, but because of his past relationships he keeps thinking that im too hot and im going to leave him. i'm not "too hot" and because he keeps calling me that, i feel almost as if i have to be or else i'm going to end up disappointing him

And I know. Looking at ourselves and things around us objectively is one of the hardest things to do, and the only reason I understand my own thinking and things like that is because I have a weird mind that I could spend all day explaining. I do believe that everybody's mind is just as capable as mine of doing the things it can do and understanding the things it can though, but the majority of people find distractions from it instead of putting in the effort to understand it and use it the right way.
