Which is exactly why I thought their open admittion of having no records to undo their childnapping needed to be published. Every parent who's lost a child in these separations can use this admittion to sue the government for millions to finance a personal search for their lost children, payable by the U.S. taxpayer. That money, at least, should be coming out of Trump's and Session's asses.

And I will have to post the story later but there are DHS documents that prove Kirstjen Nielsen knowingly lied to Congress when she told them it was not DHS policy to separate children and parents. It was right in the plan and she fucking well knew it.

I don't even think you would have to have them on ignore today. There is so much terrible news about Trump I haven't seen them all day.

Having spent years in the business of child protection, I can give direct anecdotal accounts of American children's protection agencies doing less than the absolute bare minimum to locate the families of children that were either dual citizens or citizens of other countries, namely Canadian children. It seems that case workers don't know how to google and find people that are in the fucking phone book, such as it is, with their closest neighbour, who has established partnerships and protocols to deal with such things.

As a result, I wouldn't put too much confidence in the 'systems' they have in place to track down the families of children in Central America, considering they haven't managed to develop dependable systems to keep track of the families they actually had in custody and the parents they took the kids from.

Now, I know fuck-all about the various states and their foster systems, but I know everything about Canadian ones, and the first thing that happens to apprehended children in Canada is that the protection agency has to identify the child, and establish jurisdiction. They've got a very limited period of time to do that in, and if they can't, guess what? The child is returned to the parents. That step is hardly rubber stamp, either. There is no leeway. Those agencies better have their ducks in a fucking row, and be able to stick to the deadline, and family court runs on the weekend just to make sure shit gets done.

From what I can tell, ICE or border security or whatever organization is responsible for taking kids from their parents would probably have no trouble establishing jurisdiction (whether or not I agree it would be accurate is another argument), but they couldn't identify these kids to save their asses.

Now, it could be that shooter is howling about wards of the state, and what happens to them after wardship is established. We don't call kids in care 'foster children', so maybe it's semantics. But if he's howling about what happens to kids after they've been deemed to have no fit parents, guardians or other interested parties able to proffer a plan of care, then I fail to see why that's the least bit relevant. It's what's happening to those kids before their lineages are legally broken that matters.

And the big lie shootersa is telling here is that the kids snatched by the Trump administration followed any kind of policy or procedure.

    They had no fucking clue.

Before you people spout off about what you don't know, read the fucking law.
    READ THE FUCKING LAW!

you might find a case where someone failed at some step, but the reality is, Federal and state agencies have an inbred policy of REUNIFICATION.

A policy that mandates first, REUNIFICATION, then guardianship to family, then family like, then adoption.

All of it reviewed from the start by a court.
A court that will demand that agencies do everything possible to identify the child, their family and their extended family. A court that gives fuckall about politics.

Your spew, because you don't like to have your noses rubbed in facts that don't fit your hate trump agenda, is seen for what it is.

Lies, fucking lies, and more fucking lies.

Hey general, you claim to know the foster care system, what are the first three things an agency MUST do when they have a new kid they are responsible for?

    Fucking liar.

You can get as heated as you want, shooter.

The facts are the facts. The legislation may require efforts at reunification first, but if the agencies don't meet the minimum efforts to meet that burden and the presiding justices don't require it, then it goes down the food chain.

    Lot of ifs in there.
The reality is, the USA today report was a slanted attack piece long on bullshit and short on facts.

Ask yourself this; if the dad was so quickly identified as an MS13 gang member, and that his wife was living in texas, how is it none of the lawyers representing the dad or the kid, couldn't make a connection between the mom and the child? Cause they all knew where the kid was pretty damn fast.

And then you gotta ask yourself how they were able to track the child down in New York.

    Shooter will tell you why.
Because the system was working exactly the way its supposed to.

The ILLEGAL MIGRANT lawyers and advocates were looking for cases they can spin. And they did exactly that.

Shooter knows anything the general posts has to be fully vetted, and when that is done whats left is another example of what a fucking liar the general is.

He and his stooge "ignore trumpboy" imported are poster children for the
    Cause ..... trump movement.

I am not even going to go back on this very thread where I proved multiple times these migrant kids are being thrown into foster care. And especially when it is just fucking obvious there is no other choice for a lot of them because they deported their parents. And relatives of the kids are afraid to show up because they or some of their relatives might be undocumented and they could get deported as well.

And it is just so fucking sickening when someone like shootersa tries to constantly use the foster care dodge to try to change the subject from the fact Trump and his administration actually snatched those kids from their parents as some form of a cruel deterrent with no fucking plan at all on what they were going to do with them. No way to identify and track them. And essentially made many of the orphans because they deported their parents and have no way to find them.

Reunification is a state or DHS priority.
They are no more interested in deporting family that steps up than they are deporting the child.
No more interested in deportation than an emergency room doctor treating an ILLEGAL immigrant for diabetes.
No more interested in deportation than a school teacher teaching ILLEGAL immigrants in the classroom.

Just more spew from the general to change the discussion.

No, it isn't. People are frightened, quite rightly. ICE shows up at all sorts of other court appearances, and does not give a flying fuck about other department priorities.

Are you trying to suggest ICE stands down because kids need guardians? Can you point to any policy or written indications of that?

    4. submissively speaking
It's interesting you mention teachers and kids in classrooms; some are actually taking measures to protect kids while in school, especially after ol' Betsy suggested to the House Committee on Education that they call ICE.

So no, people's fear of ICE is perfectly well-founded.

    5. shootersa
No, ICE isn't going to know.
There's this issue with child welfare agencies and family courts.
It's called confideniality, its a legal requirement, and it means those records are sealed, even from other state or federal agencies.
      Really.
      Look it up.

Is this wilful blindness, or what? I'm not sure, but I certainly am trying to find out. Call me Pollyanna.

Every person that works family law understands that children's identities are strictly protected. Of course.

But illegal persons may not. As a matter of fact, I'd be willing to bet that they don't, for the most part. And they've learned to stay away from the various systems, especially now, so asserting that they're not scared to show up for a court appearance is horsepuckey.

It's a perfectly reasonable and logical fear. Let's put that to bed, shall we?

I want to talk more about the hierarchy of placements.

So, you didn't read the law.

What's the first 3 things an agency does with a new child they take charge of?

    Keep spewing your lies general.

What is really sickening is a fucking liar claiming he knows the foster care system from first hand experience when its so obvious he's lying about that cause all he really cares about is his mission to get trump.

And throwing a few kids, any kids, under the bus, is just part of his war on Trump.

Stumbler, you give not a flea fart for any kid, immigrant or American.

    Siddown, fucking liar.

When you say 'take charge of', does that mean after apprehension?

He just continues to spout the same lies over and over and over again. I posted the proof that by Federal Law migrant kids can only be held in detention for so many days (20 I think) and then they must be placed with someone. Which is where the child protection organizations have stepped in to take the kids and farm them out to foster care.

All he's doing is trying to distract and deflect from what Trump and his administration did with no plan of how to take care of these kids, what to do with them, or even how to track them.

I think his response is that the agency's first obligation is to attempt reunification.

Which, after identification and jurisdiction, makes sense to me.

Except if there are no records as to family lineage or identification, especially for young children whose first language is not English, I expect the identification piece is challenging or next to impossible. Which trickles down into the next steps, which is to seek alternative plans of care from family/interested parties.

But you see, there are records. The foster agency, if they get involved, do know or will find out the kids family information.

And surprise, every agency has access to interpreters. The agency WILL know the kids history.
They will seek reunification, even where a parent gave up parental rights. They will seek extended family. Even family who are themselves ILLEGAL imigrants.

And no, family won't be deported because they are willing to be guardians of a child in the country ILLEGALLY.

      Adoption is a last recourse.

These are not monsters. Not at the state, not at the federal level, not even in the whitehouse.

If there are monsters its the organizers of these caravans and the knuckleheads who are on the
      Cause ........ trump
      Train.

Because not one of them gives a shit about any kid.

Shooter, when you're talking about kids that have been separated from their parents, you're assuming records have been kept. The reports are that they haven't. That's the foundation for the complaint; kids were separated from their families and nobody kept track of who belonged to whom.

So you've got kids giving information via interpreter giving their own histories? Come on. How accurate do you think that will be?

And it's a serious question; can you point to any protocol or agreement or SOU between agencies that state that families' information will not be shared with ICE?
