People here think it's more important to have a great percentage than to have a great story. I posted my last two chapters with an open vote, so even anonymous people can vote and those chapters are rated higher than the other chapters, where only my friends could vote. I'm just happy to see people are reading my work. Don't get me wrong my stories are like my kids and I would love for everyone to love them, but that's just a pipe dream. I'll just stay here and write my stories my way, and as long as I make them at least feel something, I'll remain happy.

 

It's a travesty really that shit like this goes on. All I want is a fair system that judges authors hard work they put forth. Don't downgrade stories because you want your shit up top. Authors like @DBuck @PABLO DIABLO @melanieatplay @BashfulScribe have stories that, in my opinion, are a 95% or above. And, that's not over exaggerating!

My latest story, and I know I'm biased, took me six LONG weeks to craft just right. It got 98 out of 100 positive votes initially then 4 straight down votes then crept back up to 96% then 4 straight down votes then crept back up to 95% yesterday then 8 straight down votes by people who just registered two days prior.... GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. WaDaSM part 3 is an excellent story. Not buying or tolerating the bullshit AT ALL. I got plenty of time troll and be an ass to the person I know who is directly responsible for this.

His story that was on top with a 97% yesterday is now on the STEEP decline at 90.7% and TRENDING downward at this VERY MOMENT. Farewell, Liberty Mountain!

 

Ugh, if my stories were like kids I think I might be guilty of abandoning them. There are some older(and newer) ones that are cringe worth. I haven't posted any stories to SexStories in a long time because of what all of you are saying. With a few clicks of a mouse your story is gone and some terrible story stays at the top. The difference is my stories are average at best and deserve to disappear but you put so much time and effort into building a good story that draws people in. I can see how that would be very disappointing.

 

I won't stoop to there level to feed my own ego. If it becomes a point where someone isn't reading my work, I'll move on.

I just had two account that wehre made on the same day (Wednesday) go through my stories, so I am deffenately pulling mt stories. I just can't get a fair shot on this sight. Too many great writers on here that down voted by troll accounts. Until amin does something about this I am pulling all my stories except the first parts.

It's sad that there isn't a better way to keep the quality stories from being voted into oblivion by malicious individuals.

In the end what will happen is bad stories will be falsely elevated and the good stories will be lost or removed by the authors.

It takes about 30 seconds to know if a story is any good. People will start to leave the site.

 

It's not worth spending months on a story only to have it bashed by Troll accounts. I am not posting on this site anymore. I might even stop writing altogether.

 

@throatHER Just to let you know that the read only 'Deny All Votes' option doesn't work on this site. It actually lets everyone vote.

Please do not give up on Rocker I read the story in 24 hours enjoyed it so much was working on 2nd reading when you pulled them and for some reason can not pm you to get them but at less I know who he married.

Just my two cents on the matter - I don't think pulling stories and giving up is the answer. If you want to care less about this site and its ratings, by all means, but I wouldn't recommend stopping posting here. Even some views are better than no views. Plus, what kind of message does it send if people intentionally downvote stories and you leave the site? It shows them that their downvoting tactics work. If you really want to stick it to people that intentionally have it out for you (if that is their motivation here), the best retalitation I can think of is be persistent and keep posting here. That way they have more to deal with, if nothing else. Perhaps posting out of spite is not the best option, but I for one want to keep posting here regardless of what happens to my stories. I want to show people that wish me gone that nothing can stop a passionate writer. By all means, post them to other sites and forums primarily if you wish, but just also throw them up here and forget about them immediately if need be. Certainly don't pull stories. A sex story by any other rating still reads as well, and whether your story has a 95% or a 60%, they're still the stories I and your other followers love to read. That goes for any and all of us here.

 

Titally disagree. I have pulled and added my series the rocker three time. the only reason I would repost it here was, because I was flooded with PMs. I posted them back the fourth time only to sind nothing has changes. Today two separate accounts that were made the same daydown-voted the stories that were in the 95% bringing them down. What you may or may not understand is that when stories have a low rating they get read less.And that is why the troll accounts down-vote. You don't have that problem, brcause you are an amazing writer. Nebies like don't stand a chance here, which why I will post here until I am as good as @BashfulScribe which is ne... Sorry for the rant

 

I agree with BashfulScribe. I understand that every writer here takes a certain amount of pride in their work - and that’s justified. But you can’t stop writing all together just because a handful of trolls take pleasure in your unhappiness. Don’t let your hobby, creative outlet, or passion be ruined by nay-sayers. Write because you love to write, not because you love to be upvoted.
