You misunderstood me.
They sell us toys and they don't CARE if they poison us. They do NOT test the products before bringing them over.

 

One of the problems with China is that most of their manufacturing facilities are multi-purpose.
The plant that made artificial sweetener this week was making anti-freeze last week and will be making pet food next week.
If all of the countries had the same standard for lead content in paint it would help solve that problem.
The toys that mattel sells in some other countries has a higher lead content than is allowed in the U.S.
China literally has to shut down the plant, flush the system and start it all up again to make the toys coming here.
Unfortunately cutting cost and increasing profits comes before anything else and time equals money

You do realize more than half of our toys over here says made in the usa however they were just put together here. Components of the toys are made in forign countries. It's a way of getting around the whole "made in the USA" thing. Now aren't we the ones that are greedy?

I ment to say half of the ones that say made in the usa.There was a kid from localy where I live that got lead poisoning and died, they called fisher price but they passed it over to thier lawyers.The kids parents lawyers are saying they have to go through this company in china. These toys said made in america. It's been on the news alot around where I live. It says it's made here, which means there should be some sort of safety screening if it was infact made here. But as soon as shit goes wrong,it's no longer MADE in the USA...it's just been put together here.So more than likely these parents are going to be thrown around back and forth and never see any sort of settlement.

you are able to make the contentious decision and buy made in Canada or made in USA only toys, with a little research you could find out which are which..

arguing over decisions greedy business owners make to turn a higher profit at a cost to local economies. will have you running in cirlces for hours

Bad quality toys are cheaper to produce, but mainly they break sooner and need to be replaced, therefor more toys are sold and more profit to be made

They've just recalled 175,000 Curious George plush toys!!! It's got to be a little scary if you're buying toys this xmas!!!

U.S. companies ship production to china for the cheap labour and us American consumers buy these products because they are cheaper.
Therefore it must be all China's fault.
Those US products that you buy are most likely assembled from foreign made parts
