Fox News dominates CNN, MSNBC in Wednesday primetime ratings, topping both networks' combined viewership
    Fox News

Left, anti-Trump media push collusion narrative, conspiracies throughout Mueller probe.

Fox News Channel was the big winner in cable news on Wednesday night, beating CNN’s and MSNBC’s combined average primetime viewership on a night when CNN hosted a Town Hall special with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Fox News' Sean Hannity interviewed President Donald Trump.

According to Nielsen’s early ratings, across the 8 pm-11 pm primetime slots, Fox News Channel averaged 3,685,000 viewers, including 653,000 in the prized 25-54 age-group demographic. MSNBC delivered an average of 2,141,000 viewers and 333,000 in the 24-54 demo, while CNN came in last with 904,000 average prime-time viewers, with 235,000 in the demo.

Additionally, every primetime program from 8-11 pm was up double-digits versus the same day last week and year-to-date average, while CNN and MSNBC suffered double-digit losses.

(Note that when final cable news ratings come out, they will vary slightly from the early ratings which are subject to rounding.)

Each of the Fox News Channel’s primetime shows also boasted impressive wins over their time-slot competition on MSNBC and CNN, besting the other shows’ combined totals in each hour.

In the 8 pm hour, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” drew 3,485,000 total viewers and 584,000 viewers age 25-54. MSNBC’s “All In With Chris Hayes” delivered 1,674,000 and 259,000 age 25-54. CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 660” limped into third with 865,000 watchers and 221,000 age 25-54.

At 9 pm, “Hannity” delivered 4,303,000 viewers and 778,000 in the age 25-54 demographic with his interview of President Trump. MSNBC's “The Rachel Maddow Show” delivered 2,678,000 total viewers with 432,000 in the 25-54 demo. CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” drew 900,000 total viewers – less than one-quarter of the viewership of “Hannity” -- with 210,000 watchers age 25-54.

“The Ingraham Angle” dominated the 10 pm hour, despite airing against CNN’s Town Hall special hosted by Don Lemon. “The Ingraham Angle” delivered 3,268,000 total viewers with 596,000 age 25-54, versus 947,000 and 275,000 for the Lemon/Booker sit-down. MSNBC’s “The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell” drew 2,069,000 viewers and 308,000 in the demo.

During its much-hyped Town Hall with Booker from 10-11:15 pm, CNN drew 929,000 viewers, while MSNBC’s regularly scheduled programming attracted 2,010,000 watchers. Fox News beat both networks combined with 3,009,000 viewers during the same extended time period.

Fox News has dominated in the ratings since Friday's release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report and its findings.

Fox News Channel was the most-watched cable network in total day and primetime on Monday. “Hannity” was ranked as the number one cable news show, landing over 4 million total viewers. MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” ranked second with 2.5 million total viewers and CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime” trailed in third with 911,000.

Primetime shows “Hannity” and “Tucker Carlson Tonight” had more viewers than broadcast network programming on Monday, including CBS News’ Mueller coverage (3 million viewers) and ABC’s “Fix It” (3.9 million viewers).

On Friday, Fox News again topped its competitors, averaging 2.3 million total viewers, while MSNBC had 1.7 million views and CNN had 1 million viewers.

OH FUCK DID MSNBC AND CNN EVER TAKE A HIT WHEN MUELLER FAILED TO MEET THEIR EXPECTATIONS!!!

Yeppers just no denying that. But by today they appear to be making a comeback in the ratings.

And it will be very interesting to see how Chris Hayes' show All In does tonight because I think his whole hour will be allowing AOC to explain the New Green Deal and the lies being told about it on the right.

Rachel Maddow’s ratings suffer after Mueller report determined no collusion
By Joseph A. Wulfsohn | Fox News
MSNBC’s biggest star, Rachel Maddow, has been flailing in viewership since Special Counsel Robert Mueller officially concluded his investigation into the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Maddow had seen a rating surge since President Trump took office, offering extensive coverage on the Russia investigation for the past two years. However, her viewership has taken a dive since Mueller handed his report to the Department of Justice last Friday. The report, according to a letter to Congress released on Sunday by Attorney General Bill Barr, concluded that there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

“The Rachel Maddow Show” saw an average 13 percent decrease in viewership comparing her ratings Monday through Wednesday this week versus last week — Maddow lost nearly a whopping 500,000 viewers on Monday’s show following the release of Barr’s letter compared to her previous Monday show. She also saw a 15 percent decrease in the 25-52 demo audience.

    [IMG]Video

The MSNBC primetime lineup suffered as a whole this week, averaging 2.46 million viewers versus the 2.83 million from last week.

President Trump took to Twitter on Thursday morning to mock MSNBC and CNN for their ratings struggle this week.

“Wow, ratings for ‘Morning Joe,’ which were really bad in the first place, just ‘tanked’ with the release of the Mueller report. Likewise, other shows on MSNBC and CNN have gone down by as much as 50%. Just shows, Fake News never wins!” Trump tweeted.

Meanwhile, Fox News Channel has seen a substantial ratings increase since the findings of the Mueller report were publicized. “Hannity” received over 4 million viewers on Monday, which was more than 1 million additional viewers than the previous Monday. Hannity has successfully held onto his momentum, earning 4.3 million viewers on Wednesday night, when he also received a 32 percent increase in the demo from last week.

FNC’s other primetime hosts, Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham, have also benefited since the Mueller report was issued, averaging a 25 percent increase in viewership during primetime this week. They averaged 3.58 million viewers versus last week’s average of 2.72 million viewers.

MSNBC, NBC News top political editor accused of 'trying to intimidate' reporter on 'behalf of the DNC'

A reporter is accusing the managing editor of NBC News and MSNBC’s political coverage of trying to "intimidate” him into spiking a story about the Democratic National Committee in a chilling phone conversation that he says had her acting as a political operative and not a fellow journalist.

Yashar Ali, a high-profile freelance journalist whose work has appeared in the Huffington Post and New York magazine, said he was so taken aback by his conversation with Dafna Linzer, who has held the key NBC position since October 2015, that he posted his synopsis of it in a series of tweets Friday. Linzer, he said, was trying to block him from publishing the dates of the 2020 Democratic Party primary debates - a move Ali suspects was made to benefit the DNC, not her employers.

“Yesterday, I received a call from @DafnaLinzer who serves as managing editor of NBC/MSNBC politics. Dafna's conduct during the call was highly inappropriate and unethical. So what was the purpose of her call? She called me to bully me on behalf of the DNC,” the first tweet read.

“Dafna, who oversees the political coverage for NBC and MSNBC, was calling to bully me into delaying the publication of an innocuous scoop and at no point did she advocate for her network, it was only about the DNC.”

Ali then outlined the allegation, which he claimed stemmed from a “scoop” he had regarding the dates of the Democratic primary debates in 2020.

It was announced Thursday that the first Democratic presidential debates will take place June 26 and 27 in Miami.

The Democratic National Committee confirmed the plans first disclosed by NBC News, which will broadcast the two-night event along with MSNBC and Telemundo.

    [IMG]Video
Ali’s tweets continued: “When I saw Dafna calling I assumed she would ask me to consider delaying my post so that MSNBC could announce it first. Given that this was an innocuous scoop and not some investigative story I wouldn't have lost sleep if I had delayed. But that's not why she was calling.

“After exchanging pleasantries, Dafna told me that she received a call from the DNC and was told I had a story. Now it's not strange that the DNC called her, they were coordinating an announcement. What was strange was that she was calling me and taking a menacing tone

“She asked if I could hold the story and I said I couldn't. She was agitated, ‘why not?’ I said I'm not going to lose a scoop. Then she got angrier and said ‘Why not? It's not a big deal, let them make a few phone calls.’”

He then wrote: “I realized that @DafnaLinzer, the head of all political coverage for NBC News and MSNBC wasn't calling to advocate for her network, she was calling to advocate the DNC's position. She wanted me to wait so they could call state party leaders.

“I couldn't believe what she was saying. Again, it was fine for me to print the story an hour later, beat her own network by three hours, she just wanted me to let the DNC inform state party leaders. Why the hell did she care?

“I kept telling Dafna no, that I wasn't waiting. And she kept getting more frustrated… The head of the political division was trying to bully me at the behest of the DNC over a dumb scoop (even though they may not have asked her to).”

MSNBC and NBC News did not return Fox News’ request for comment.

MSNBC's Ocasio-Cortez Town Hall falls flat, loses to Tucker Carlson in ratings
By Victor Garcia | Fox News
    [IMG]Video
Green New Deal champion Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez compares the impact of climate change to 9/11

MSNBC’s Town Hall featuring Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., fell flat in the ratings Friday evening, trailing far behind Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight."

According to Nielsen’s early ratings, the Town Hall hosted by MSNBC’s “All In” host Chris Hayes garnered 1,568,000 total viewers while Carlson’s program had 2,656,000. CNN’s Anderson Cooper came in last with 733,000 total viewers.

Fox News drew 420,000 viewers aged 25-54, while the MSNBC town hall had 232,000 viewers and CNN had just 155,000 in the demo, the ratings showed.

    [IMG]Video
MSNBC’s 8 p.m. primetime slot featured the freshman congresswoman and other guests discussing the Green New Deal in front of an audience in the Bronx, N.Y.

“So, this issue is not just about our climate. First and foremost we need to save ourselves. Period. There will be no future for the Bronx. There will be no livable future for generations coming,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

She defended the resolution she'd co-sponsored and blasted her critics.

Ocasio-Cortez also disputed estimated costs of the resolution and dismissed the claim the Green New Deal was socialism saying that climate change “is a problem of market failure externalities in our economics.”

Carlson’s 8 p.m. hour, by contrast, featured a look into accusations that an NBC News political editor tried to “intimidate” a reporter on behalf of the Democratic National Committee, among other topics.

More fucking buffoonery from possibly the biggest dunbfuck (it is a close race) on this site.

Hmmm... it's all full of "appears to" or "appears that".

That's the same verbiage used by those mainstream interviewers who like to 'challenge' conservatives by saying things like "Some people say" (insert damning thing that nobody but the interviewer and their leftist friends are saying). You depend on people overlooking the meaning of 'it appears' or 'some say'.

Are you really so stupid that you strain your little bird neck to eat up every bullshit bit of deflection and misdirection that people like Maddow drop into your little chirping wannabe 'resistance' mouths? Hahaha - you're a fucking imbecile if you think that cutting and pasting bullshit speculation, with an array of different fonts and colors makes you anything but a weak, ineffectual 'useful idiot' to your puppet masters, pulling your strings and laughing at you at the same time.

Nobody respects the likes of you - not conservatives (for seeing an idiot like you as a 'worthy adversary) or the Leftist Agenda Creators who just smile at how they can manipulate uninformed and unintelligent people like you.

By all means, keep at it - you're pathetically hilarious.

You just knew as soon as it came out that Assange was kicked to the curb that the DOJ was behind it, and that they wanted to get the old boy down in the basement, see could they get something juicy out of him.

    Fine.

And you also knew the despicables would trip all over themselves making some connection between Trump and Assange, and come up with some shit to smear Trump with.

    So, same shit, different day.

Robert Mueller hounded by MSNBC reporters after Easter service

    4/21/19

Special counsel Robert Mueller was confronted Sunday by an MSNBC television crew — moments after leaving an Easter church service with his wife — and asked whether he’d testify before Congress.

The former FBI director wasn’t having it.

“No comment,” Mueller said, before being pressed again by reporter Mike Viqueira.

“Are you sure about that, sir?” Viqueira asked.

    “No comment,” Mueller repeated, stone-faced.

He had been coming out of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, DC, when the camera crew ambushed him. Later on during the broadcast, Viqueira said: “I think we can characterize Director Mueller’s attitude as tight-lipped and perhaps not interested in talking to me.”

He acknowledged how the timing of the interview could seem offensive to some. [Jimmy says, "Oh, ya think, DIPSHIT?]

“We had a camera crew waiting outside. It was, of course, Easter service. And, yes, we did surprise Director Mueller upon his exiting of the church,” Viqueira said. “But nevertheless, that’s the first time we have heard from Bob Mueller in quite some time, even if his only comment was no comment.”

Mueller had remained quiet about the Russia probe throughout the course of the investigation. His “No comment” is the first time he’s spoken publicly about it.

But what was really fun was watching Barr stick it right back in despicables faces, as they tried to ambush him and make him out the liar. Finestien started off with the letter from Mueller complaining about the Barr summary. This gotcha moment was apparently to show that a)Barr was lying b) Barr is little more than Trump's mouthpiece and c) THERE WAS COLLUSION, THERE WAS OBSTRUCTION!!

Barr quite nicely thoroughly pointed out that Mueller's issue with the Barr summary wasn't that anything in the summary was inaccurate or wrong, rather that the media was not portraying any of it correctly.

At which point Barr could have dropped the mic and left. The despicable trap had been uncovered. But despicables, desperate to do something, carried on. They insulted Barr, called him names, alleged all manner of skullduggery, and generally threw every card but the race card at him. And he kept tossing them right back with a zinger.

    Lovely!!
