Because it feels like you're not wearing anything, but since there is that barrier between your pussy and the seams of your pants, there's no chafing. Some people complain that it's annoying to have a wedgie all day, but if you wear them enough you stop noticing.

 

There is an angle that my head will naturally rest, looking down at near -45 degrees off the horizon, which in one classroom will put my 'staring into space' look right at the level of the chairs in the next row.
