  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. old IN ARIZONA :

    New Pledge of Allegiance
    (TOTALLY AWESOME) !

    Since the Pledge of Allegiance
    and The Lord's Prayer
    are not allowed in most
    public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned... .
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

    NEW School prayer: -
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
    Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
    That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
    Amen

Please pass this on to anyone who need's to hear it.

God does not belong in public schools. This supposed kid is an idiot and has been brainwashed by his parents. If he's even real, which I doubt. 'Under God' was not added to the Pledge until the 50's. We got along for many years without it just fine. It was put in by fanatics who were trying to one-up the Soviet Union and it is against the law, according to the Constitution of the United States of America.

Face it thunder; we are a nation founded on secular principles by men who went to great lengths to keep God and Government separate and for good reason. Deal with it.

Could you tell me what was one of the very first acts of congress after this nation was founded? It had something to do with the native Americans and the printing of a certain book to send to them. :)

Tolerence, however, does belong in public schools. The choice is the child's, not yours.
I myself am an athiest, but I will defend to the death that childs right to believe what he/she wishes.

I also do not believe that this was written by a child, but does it have to be?
We, in Britain, are told that America is 'The Land of the Free', we hear it in movies and see your politicians talk about it all the time.
Didn't most of your ancestors go there to have 'religious freedom'? To escape intolerance?

Religion, has been an important part of my upbringing. My mother was baptist and my father was a catholic. I've read the bible from cover to cover (except all that begat nonsense), I've read translations of the Koran among other religious books as well as learning about Bhuddism.
My point is I made my choice from and informed position, this child does not have that luxury.

I believe that all religions should be taught in schools and then the child can choose.
Much of the intolerance and extremism in this world spans from ignorance!

Thought I would write one I see more appropriate.

Here I come to this sanctum to learn,
Spin my mind’s gears and make them churn.
But I am accompanied with lies so stern,
To stifle my thoughts lest I should burn.

They circumvent truth and worship the holes,
They proclaim knowledge that no one ever knows,
They limit our science, our history, and prose,
And try to stifle our wisdom that continually grows.

A status quo of ignorance is the desire.
A supposed greater good; the motivation of these liars.
Emotional control is the name their fire,
And rational conjectecture is the water so dire.

Never has there been a censor more profound.
And never have we seen a foundation so unsound.
But control through mob mentality the leaders have found,
And school age children are easiest to bring round.

If they taint necessary truths with the cancers of the mind,
The new budding generation will fall right in line.
To herald their parents’ sins while carrying their signs,
Who are they to distinguish truth and fiction intertwined?

Sleeper cells are set deeply in the heads of the young,
For the days when servitude and conformity are sprung.
But those who object are to sit with heads lowly hung,
And live out their lives unspoken, unconsidered, and unsung.

It is Us vs. Them in guise of righteous piety,
It is from this young age they teach us our place in their hierarchy.
They threaten with pain, and torment, and anarchy,
But all are just camouflage for their true blasphemy.

Great will be the day that free thought can end the replication
Of these sanctimonious guiles of false ameliorations
Great will be the day of our schools’ religious emancipation,
And our children will be trained to make real revelations.

I never said he couldn't believe it, I said it doesn't belong in public schools. I also have no problem teaching all religions in class as long as it's done the same way we teach ancient Egyptian and Greek/Roman religions, etc. As mythology. It's teaching it as fact and/or science i.e. Intelligent Design that I have problems with.

School is a place for learning, not worship. It matters not who wrote it or what age the writer was, what matters is that it is wrong and in the U.S., illegal.

I can't, perhaps you can enlighten me.

I can tell you of the Treaty of Tripoli that was authored in 1796. It stated:
And the Constitution makes no mention of God that I'm aware of. It does reference God in the Declaration of Independence, but that was written before the Constitution.

Very nice. You just write that? If I got that in an email I'd forward it along. Next time you get one of those religious emails you should swap out the text for that. :D

I know this doesn't exactly go here but I thought you would read it anyway. In our previous discussion about Maynard's "conversion" I had mentioned that it could be a hoax. Considering I just heard a remake of "Rev 22:20" on the newest cd of his side, side band Pusifer I think it is very safe to say that it was a hoax.

Yeah at first I was going to rhyme it with mike's but I just decided to follow the general pattern instead.

Had I proofread better I wouldn't have used "stifle" twice.

Let's adapt the current Christian trend of What would Jesus do? to what would Jesus say about this?

So if I were to say "Please lord don't let these sadistic charlatans anywhere close to our schools." then the problem is over?

With all due respect Shakey. the Constitution does NOT say freedom FROM religion. It simply prohibits the state from establishing a religion. Reread it, you were wrongj.
It is the atheist fanatics that are trying to impose their "religion=belief system" on the rest of us. Just as bad as the Baptists say trying to FORCE everyone to pray 'IN THE NAME OF THE LORD"

And how arrogant can people be: PRESUMING to know WHAT WOULD JESUS DO, OR SAY, is it true that they are so HOLY they can read Jesus's mind, that puts them in the same category as all the HOLY men who say that GOD talks to them and only THEY know what GOD wants. Funny thing, GOD must have a split personality since they dont agree.

There is no such thing as the oft quoted division between church and state. That "doctrine" is the result of personal opinions propogated by bigoted judges and supreme court judges.

I am not going to get into any arguments but these are some facts that everyone with an agenda from one side or the other always wants ignored.

I don't Perv, you could try it and see. But you'd have to have more faith than I do.

But for those who labor under the misconceptions (not you or ShakeZula for sure) who believed this nation was founded on Christian or even Nation of God principles, I'd have to point out that the words In God We Trust didn't appear on any of our money until during the Civil war and it was not until the 84th Congress passed and it was approved by the President on July 30, 1956, that IN GOD WE TRUST became our national motto.

And even though the original Pledge of Allegiance was written by a Baptist Minister in 1892 the phrase "under God" was not added until 1954, when Congress after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus, added the words.
